KENTUCKY BANANA PUDDING
This is my grandmother's recipe! A version with a cookie crust.

Steps:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, cornstarch, egg, evaporated milk and regular milk. Mix together well and stir until thick. Remove from heat; add vanilla and mix well.
- In a large bowl or casserole dish, arrange a layer of cookies. Pour pudding mixture over cookies and top with a layer of sliced bananas. Refrigerate until chilled.

- 1. KENTUCKY BREAD PUDDING: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place bread pieces in a large mixing bowl. Place milk over bread and let soak for about 10 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased two quart baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees or until top is goldlen brown. Serve with warm Bourbon Sauce. Six servings.
- 2. BOURBON SAUCE: Place water in saucepan, add cornstarch,stir until blended. Add all other ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring often until blended. Spoon warm sauce over servings of bread pudding.

Steps:
- 1. First combined egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl, whip until thick and light. next scald milk and vanilla bean, and bourbon.over direct heat. next very gradually pour scalded cream into egg mixture while stirring constantly with whip.set the bowl aside to cool down.
- 2. Next cut bread into small pieces place in bowl with cinnamon, nutmeg,raisins, toss together than place into greased ramekins, pour cream' anglaise over the bread. than bake in oven at 345 for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 3. to make sure they are done place toothpick in middle til it comes out clean, than sit aside until cool. place the ramekin unside down on plate, and garnish the way you like.

- Bake 350 45 minutes (IMP. if using fozen corn, I find that I need to bake it 1 to 1 1/2 hours). Stir ONCE during baking.
KENTUCKY CHEESE PUDDING
Steps:
- Butter bottom and sides of casserole dish. Divide all ingredients in half.
- Layer first cracker crumbs, eggs, pimentos, cheese, repeat. Top with milk until it rises to the top of ingredients, making sure all is moistened. Use more milk if necessary.
- Bake, uncovered in 350 degree oven until cheese is melted and top is browned, about 30 to 40 minutes.

KENTUCKY CHEESE PUDDING RECIPE

- Melt 6 Tbsp. butter, add flour and whisk in half & half, salt and pepper and cook until thickened. Spoon 1/2 cup sauce into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle a few cracker crumbs over sauce. Arrange layers of sliced eggs, cheese and pimentos repeating until all ingredients have been layered ending with crackers and dot with remaining butter. Bake about 30 minutes at 350 degrees until golden. Serve hot.
KENTUCKY PUDDING
I was going through my Granny's old recipe box and found this recipe. I haven't made it, but it will be on the table in the very near future.

- Mix sugar and flour together.
- Add egg yolks and milk.
- Whisk till blended together. (I added this step; no instructions were given).
- Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in the mixture.
- Add vanilla.
- Bake in an uncooked pie shell in a moderate oven about 45 minutes.(This is 350 degrees.)
