- Combine first eight ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months. Yield: 12 batches (1-1/2 cups total)., To prepare one batch of dip: Add 2 tablespoons of mix to mayonnaise and sour cream; stir until blended. Serve with chips or vegetables.

- Mix above spices together.
- Store in freezer until ready for use.
- TO SERVE: Mix 1 teaspoon of mix with one cup of sour cream.
- Adjust to your own taste.
- Store in refrigerator for atleast a couple of hours before serving.

JOHN WAYNE'S SOUTHWEST DIP
I don't know if this was "John Wayne's Dip", but that is the name given to it and it is good!

Steps:
- Chop cheese into small chunks and set aside. Chop onions. Cook meat and onion in a large skillet or dutch oven pan. Stir until brown and crumbly. Be sure to break meat into small pieces while cooking. Drain off fat. Mix in the cheese and the rest of the ingredients and cook on medium high heat stirring occasionally until cheese has melted. Do not let it stick. Serve with your favorite chips.
- Note: You can use 1 pound of beef plus 1 pound of sausage if you prefer. We like all hot sausage at my house.
