Thai-Style Peanut Sauce with Honey image

Most peanut sauce is does not have enough peanut for me, thus this creation. It isn't often friends will eat a sauce with a spoon, but there is never any of this left over.

¼ cup honey
¼ cup smooth peanut butter
1 tablespoon crunchy peanut butter
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Stir together the honey, peanut butters, soy sauce, rice vinegar, olive oil, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.

Honey Peanut Sauce image

This is a thin sauce so it's almost best drizzled over fruit and eaten with a spoon, fork or toothpick (my kids' favorite!) Or you can dip meat or bread into it. My kids enjoy this!

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 tablespoons peanut butter
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons orange juice

Steps:

  • Microwave the peanut butter for about 20 seconds or until it begins to melt; Stir until smooth.
  • Add the last 3 ingredients and mix well.
  • Serve with apples, bananas, strips of whole wheat toast or whatever else floats your boat!
  • Or try adding 1 teaspoon soy sauce and use the sauce to dip bite-sized pieces of grilled or sauteed chicken!
