Steps:
- Place half of the ribs in a 5-qt. slow cooker; top with half of the onion. Repeat layers. Combine the remaining ingredients; pour over all. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or until ribs are tender.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 325ºF.
- Spread both sides of ribs with mustard; place in single layer in foil-lined 15x10x1-inch pan.
- Mix barbecue sauce and syrup; spoon over ribs. Cover.
- Bake 2 hours or until ribs are tender. Serve topped with any sauce remaining in pan.
