HAM AND SWISS STROMBOLI
This pretty swirled sandwich loaf from Pat Raport of Gainesville, Florida is fast, easy and versatile. "Fill it with anything your family likes," she suggests. "Try sliced pepperoni and provolone cheese, or anchovies and ripe olives if you're feeling adventurous."

- Preheat oven to 350°. Unroll dough into a rectangle on a greased baking sheet. Place ham over dough to within 1/2 in. of edges; sprinkle with onions, bacon and cheese. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. Pinch seam to seal and tuck ends under. Place seam side down on baking sheet., With a sharp knife, cut several 1/4-in.-deep slits on top of loaf. Bake 26-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.

- 1. Unroll dough on a very well greased baking sheet.
- 2. Place ham over dough to within 1/2 inch of edges.
- 3. Sprinkle evenly with onions and bacon.
- 4. Top with overlapping pieces of the Swiss cheese.
- 5. Roll dough from the long edge jelly-roll style.
- 6. Pinch seam rolls to seal and tuck ends. With a sharp knife, cut several small slits in the top of the rolls.
- 7. Brush top of rolls with melted butter and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the rolls.
- 8. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- 9. Cool slightly before serving.
HAM AND SWISS STROMBOLI
This is a very quick fix, 5-10 min prep, 30 minutes in the oven. Kids love it. I add ranch dressing for additional flavor. I use real bacon bits to save time. You can substitute the cheese of your choice. I have used American, Mild Cheddar and Mozzarella. I have experimented with adding scrambled eggs for a brunch. You can also use the french bread idea for pizza pockets and much more. The possibilities are endless.

Place ham on dough, don't go all the way to the edge, leave about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch; spread Ranch Dressing over the ham; sprinkle evenly with onions, bacon and cheese.
