Provided by Anne Burrell

Categories     main-dish

Time 2h40m

Yield 6 to 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon hot chili sauce (recommended: sambal oelek)
1 (1-inch) piece ginger, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, smashed and finely chopped
1 scallion, both green and white parts, thinly sliced
1 orange, zested
4 pork tenderloins
2 tablespoons coriander seeds, toasted and ground

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the soy, rice wine vinegar, chili sauce, ginger, garlic, scallions and orange zest. Place the pork in a large container or bowl and pour the marinade over the pork. Cover with plastic wrap, and let sit for 2 hours at room temperature, or overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Remove the pork from the container, put the marinade in a small saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Remove from the heat and reserve it for drizzling over the pork when serving. *WARNING: This liquid MUST be brought to a boil to kill any bacteria from raw meat juices.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Dust the pork liberally with the ground coriander seed and place on the preheated grill. Brown it on all sides then move it to a cooler part of the grill to cook it to desired doneness, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Remove the pork from the grill to a cutting board and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Slice the pork on the bias and place on a serving platter. Serve drizzled with the reserved boiled soy marinade.
  • Pork- the other white meat!

Great BBQ flavor with crispy edges with an Asian flair. We use our grill rotisserie, but you can cook directly on oiled grates in your grill or as kabobs. Marinate time is not included in prep time.

ASIAN GRILLED PORK TENDERLOIN LETTUCE WRAPS

Asian Grilled Pork Tenderloin Lettuce Wraps image

I make this on one night, and "Tacos Al Pastor" on the second night because the two recipes share a lot of ingredients, but taste nothing alike. Tacos Al Pastor also requires overnight marinating, so this dish can be made the day the ingredients are purchase, while Tacos Al Pastor marinates for the second night. This recipe is also super healthy.

GRILLED ASIAN PORK TENDERLOIN WITH PEANUT SAUCE

Grilled Asian Pork Tenderloin With Peanut Sauce image

Awesome recipe, yummy sauce! This is from the newest Fine Cooking magazine, (July 2007). We were having cocktails at some friends' house this afternoon, and we couldn't wait to make it, so went to the store and bought the ingredients we didn't have. We didn't have any sides, (besides the cocktails, LOL), we just picked at it and enjoyed! We didn't have time today, but next time we will marinate it longer, a few hours in the fridge for even MORE flavor! Try this! (Cook time does not reflect marinating time.)

Categories     Pork

Time 17m

Yield 4-5 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup light coconut milk
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 large garlic cloves, minced (2 1/2 teaspoons)
2 teaspoons ground coriander
2 (1 lb) pork tenderloin (about 2 pounds total)

Steps:

  • In large bowl, whisk the coconut milk, peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, garlic and coriander to make a smooth sauce.
  • Trim the pork of excess fat and silverskin.
  • Butterfly the tenderloins by splitting each one lengthwise almost but not quite all the way through, so the halves remain attached.
  • Open each tenderloin like a book, cover with plastic wrap, and pound to an even 1/2 inch thickness.
  • Place the pork loins in a bowl with marinade and turn to coat. Let marinate 10-20 minutes, (or up to several hours in the refrigerator.)
  • While pork marinates, heat gas grill on high, clean and oil grates.
  • Remove tenderloins from marinade, letting excess marinade drip back into the bowl, (don't discard the marinade.).
  • Grill, uncovered, turning once, until just cooked through, 5-7 minutes. (Cut into one to check.) Transfer to a carving board and let stand 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, pour marinade into small saucepan and add 2 tablespoons of water, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes. If sauce seems too thick, thin it with 1-2 tablespoons water.
  • Slice pork and serve with sauce on the side.

ASIAN GRILLED PORK TENDERLOIN

Asian Grilled Pork Tenderloin image

This is my adapted recipe from one of Paula Deen's included in her cookbook. She doesn't call it Asian, but I think it has an Asian flare. It is absolutely amazing and the aroma as it cooks is mouth watering. You'll have to fight the neighbors off!

Provided by MamaMeg

Categories     Pork

Time 1h

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (2 -2 1/2 lb) pork tenderloin
1/4 cup soy sauce (* I recommend using reduced sodium soy sauce)
2 tablespoons dry red wine
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger (I found this much ginger to be slightly over powering for my tastes, so I use about 1/2 tsp)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (I also wasn't crazy about the cinnamon so I leave this out.)
2 green onions, chopped white and green parts

Steps:

  • Mix together all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  • Place the tenderloin in a plastic bag and pour the marinade over it.
  • Marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat grill or preheat the oven to 350. Remove tenderloin from bag and pat dry, save remaining marinade.
  • Grill meat over medium heat for 35-40 minutes or bake for 45 minuntes.
  • Allow the meat to rest for about 10 mintues before cutting it.
  • While the meat is grilling, simmer the remaining marinade until it is reduced to about 2 tbsps.
  • Drizzle a small amount of sauce over meat.
