2 (8 inch) pie shells, baked
2 ½ quarts fresh strawberries
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup boiling water
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O®

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, mix together the sugar and corn starch; make sure to blend corn starch in completely. Add boiling water, and cook over medium heat until mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Add gelatin mix, and stir until smooth. Let mixture cool to room temperature.
  • Place strawberries in baked pie shells; position berries with points facing up. Pour cooled gel mixture over strawberries.
  • Refrigerate until set. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.

1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1 cup milk
1 package (4-serving size) vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix
2 pints (4 cups) strawberries
1/3 cup orange marmalade
2 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur or Water

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Mix flour, butter, powdered sugar and salt with hands until crumbly. Press firmly and evenly in bottom of ungreased 11-inch tart pan with removable bottom or 12-inch pizza pan.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown; cool. Remove side from tart pan if necessary.
  • Mix sour cream, milk and pudding and pie filling (dry) with hand beater or electric mixer on low speed 1 to 2 minutes until blended; spread over crust. Arrange strawberries on pudding mixture. Heat marmalade and liqueur over low heat until melted. Cool slightly; spoon over strawberries. Immediately refrigerate any remaining dessert after serving.

It is always the one they request when we have BBQs in the summertime. I even make it for them in the winter when and if I can find fresh strawberries. I think you will like it also. My grand-daughter said I should name it 'To Die For Strawberry Cream Pie.'

1 quart strawberries, sliced
1 (13.5 ounce) package strawberry glaze
1 (4 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup confectioners' sugar
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 (9 inch) baked pie crust

Steps:

  • Stir strawberries with glaze in a bowl and place in refrigerator to chill. Stir cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract together in a bowl.
  • Beat cream in a separate bowl with an electric mixer just until it begins to thicken; add cream cheese mixture and continue beating until thick. Pour cream mixture into baked pie crust; top with strawberry mixture. Chill at least 1 hour before serving.

3 pints strawberries, Fresh, Hulled
3 drops red food coloring
1 cup sugar
1 9-inch baked pie crust
3 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
sweetened whipped cream
1/2 cup water

Steps:

  • Mash 1 pt of the strawberries, using a fork, and set aside.
  • Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a 3 quart sauce pan.
  • Stir in the water and mashed berries.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil, then cook 2 minutes longer.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the food coloring.
  • Cool to room temperature.
  • Fold in the remaining 2 pts of strawberries and turn into the baked pie shell.
  • Chill in the refrigerator at least 2 hours.

"Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits, and when they're in season, you can bet this is a treat we have often!"

Dough for single-crust pie
6 cups fresh whole strawberries, hulled, divided
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup water
2-4 drops red food coloring, optional
Whipped cream

Steps:

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle; transfer to a 9-in. pie plate. Trim to 1/2 in. beyond rim of plate; flute edge. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 425°. , Line crust with a double thickness of foil. Fill with pie weights, dried beans or uncooked rice. Bake on a lower oven rack until edge is golden brown, 20-25 minutes. Remove foil and weights; bake until bottom is golden brown, 3-6 minutes longer. Cool on a wire rack. , Mash 1 cup strawberries; set aside.
