FRENCH FRUIT DIP

I was looking for a fruit dip recipe and this one sounded so refreshing. It's originally a Paula Deen recipe, so I knew I couldn't go wrong! I made a couple of small changes to personalize it. Judging from the reaction of my family, this one will be requested at all family get-togethers. I wasn't able to get any pictures this...

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 5

8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 c powdered sugar
1 c whipping cream
1/4 c granulated sugar
1 lemon, juiced and zested

Steps:

  • 1. Soften cream cheese and then whip with powdered sugar.
  • 2. Whip cream and sugar together until it forms soft peaks.
  • 3. Combine beaten cream cheese, whipped cream, lemon juice and zest. I suggest sampling the dip after adding the juice from one-half lemon. Add more to taste. If the dip needs to be thinned down add some pineapple juice.
  • 4. Serve with fresh fruit or fruit salad.

FRENCH CREAM FRUIT DIP BY PAULA DEEN

Oh my, this is delightful! I had this at a cocktail party last night. The hostess served it with whole strawberries but any mix of fruits will do beautifully. If you have a vanilla bean lying around, remove the seeds and add it to the dip. Cook time is chilling time. Make ahead and enjoy.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened at room temperature

  • Whip cream and sugar together until it forms soft peaks.
  • Combine beaten cream cheese, whipped cream, lemon juice and zest.
