2 large onions, chopped
8 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cans reber butter beans, drained
2 cans lima beans, drained
2 cans dark red kidney beans, drained
1 can baked beans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Brown bacon in a large stockpot until crisp.
  • Drain on paper towels reserving 3-4 tablespoons drippings.
  • Saute onions in bacon fat until softened and translucent.
  • Add brown sugar and vinegar.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic and beans.
  • Bring back to a boil.
  • Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 1 1/4 hours covered.
  • Add bacon bits to top and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

3 slices bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
2 16oz cans baked beans
1 16oz can lima beans, drained
1 15.5oz can kidney beans, undrained
1 can butter beans, drained
1/2 cup mild picante sauce
2 T brown sugar
3 Tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in a medium skillet until crisp; drain, reserving 2 Tbsp drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon and set aside. Saute onion and green pepper in drippings until tender. Combine onion mixture, bacon and remaining ingredients; stir well. Spoon mixture into a greased 2.5 quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 1 hour.

1/2 pound bacon
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup catsup
1 large onion, coarsly chopped
1 16-ounce can each: kidney beans, lima beans, baked beans, butter beans, with juices

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 325 Fry bacon until brown, retain the grease. Add sugar, catsup and onion and continue frying over medium heat about 10 minutes. Stir frequently. In a casserole, combine and mix beans. Pour in bacon mixture and blend. Bake uncovered 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
