Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
- Being careful not to slice them into two separate pieces, make a lengthwise slit from the top of every hot dog to the bottom. Spread open the franks, then place them side by side flat side-up on the baking sheet.
- Season each hot dog with a pinch of celery salt, then put a slice of cheese on top of each frank. Spread a thin layer of barbeque sauce over each piece of cheese.
- Bake until cheese is slightly browned on edges, about 10 minutes.

FANCY FRANKS & BEANS
This came from the Miami Herald column called "Desperation Dinners". They said that it appeals to the kid in everyone but is a bit more sophisticated. You be the judge.

FANCY FRANKS
My Mom calls this "the recipe on the door" because that's where she kept it. She said it came from a magazine in the 70s. My Fancy Franks turn out a little different each time because I like to try variations. It's a family favorite and a complete "kid" recipe (although I still love it). You may find you want to add a touch more tomato sauce. I also like to throw in a few fresh tomatoes.
