Had an abundance of pears this year and I wanted pear cobbler but I had to change the recipe so I could eat it. Family loved it and my husband's coworker ask for the recipe. Yum!

3 c peeled, sliced, ripe pears (soft)
1 1/2 c heart healthy bisquick
2 Tbsp light butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1 c fat free milk
3 pkg nustevia or 3 teaspoons splenda

Steps:

  • 1. > Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2. > Stir pears, stevia and cinnamon together.
  • 3. > Stir Bisquick and milk together in separate bowl.
  • 4. > Melt butter in saucepan.
  • 5. > Spoon pear mixture into individual pie pans, about half full.
  • 6. > Spoon Bisquick mixture on top, and smooth somewhat.
  • 7. > Drizzle melted butter onto the top and bake for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.

Got a craving one day so I found this recipe and made it my own

2-2 1/2 c sliced fresh pears (i removed the skin)
2 c sugar, divided
4 Tbsp butter, cold
3/4 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c milk
1 egg

Steps:

  • 1. Mix pears with 1 cup sugar and let stand. Place butter in a 2 quart casserole dish and place in 325 degree oven until melted. Combine all dry ingredients, including remaining sugar. Mix well. Whisk together the milk and egg; Slowly combine with dry ingredients to make batter.
  • 2. Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. spoon pears over the batter.
  • 3. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 to 60 minutes until brown and pears are tender.

My son-in-law, Matt, said this was soo good that it was RIDICULOUS!! I came up with it based on my Just Plain Good and Easy Peach Cobbler recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 can(s) sliced pears 15 .25 oz
2/3 c sugar
2 tsp cornstarch (optional/recommended)
1 pkg pillsbury refrigerated roll out pie crust (use one roll or two)
1/4 c sugar
1 1/2-2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/2 - 3/4 stick butter
NOTE: MAY ADD A PINCH OF SALT AND 1 TSP FRESH SQUEEZED LEMON JUICE TO FILLING, IF DESIRED

Steps:

  • 1. Butter bottom of (glass) 9x13 in baking dish. (If you wish to make this a two crust cobbler, place an additional roll of dough on bottom before pouring in the pear/sugar mixture.)
  • 2. Pour 2 cans of pears with syrup in bowl. Add either 2/3 or 1 cup sugar. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Note: Add 1-2 tsps. cornstarch, if desired for a thicker sauce.) Pour into baking dish.
  • 3. Unroll and place 1 roll of prepared pie crust over top. NOTE: Use rolling pin to make crust larger and thinner or lattice if desired.
  • 4. Mix cinnamon & nutmeg with 1/4 cup sugar and sprinkle over crust.
  • 5. Pour melted butter over top. Note: May cut butter and place pieces over crust instead of melting.
  • 6. Bake in 400 degree oven until done-Approximately 35-40 minutes.
