This is a really great dessert, plan ahead this needs to chill for a minimum of 3 hours or overnight is even better.

1 3/4 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
2 cups whipped dream whipped topping (1 envelope)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (28 ounce) can cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • Prepare a 9 x 9" baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and 1 tbsp sugar; spread on bottom of prepared baking pan to form a crust.
  • Mix the Dream Whip topping according to directions on the package, then beat in the softened cream cheese into the Dream Whip a little at a time.
  • Add the remaining sugar and vanilla until well blended.
  • Smooth on top of the crust.
  • Top with the cherry pie filling.
  • Chill at least 3 hours (overnight is even better) if storing in the fridge overnight, cover with plastic wrap.

1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling or 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1/2 cup granulated sugar, for filling
1/4 cup granulated sugar, for top
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons butter, melted (1/2 stick)
12 ounces packaged cream cheese, room temperature (1 large 8 ounce block plus 1 small 4 ounce block)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350. Line the bottom of a greased 8×8 pan with four of the crescent rolls, spreading out to cover the bottom entirely. In large mixing bowl, place cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar.
  • Beat until smooth and well blended. Add vanilla, beat again. Spread cheese mixture over crescent rolls in pan. Pour pie filling over top of cheese mixture and spread evenly.
  • Top with remaining crescent roll dough. Pour melted butter over top then sprinkle with cinnamon and remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden.

1 16.3 ounce can refrigerated Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. almond extract flavoring; divided
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. milk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 365 degrees. Spray a 9X13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, combine the pie filling, cinnamon and 1/2 tsp almond extract flavoring.
  • Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.
  • Put the pie filling mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Place the cut up biscuits on top; mixing gently.
  • Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until the biscuits begin to brown.
  • Remove from oven and set aside to cool slightly while you prepare the glaze.
  • Mix together the powdered sugar, milk and remaining 1/2 tsp. almond extract together.
