CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PIE

I got this recipe in my culinary arts class and it was simply delicious. It's quick, rich and creamy! My family eats it up in no time! Note: I've made this with fat free cream cheese and light whipped topping and it works just as well:)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 chocolate cookie pie crust (store bought or make your own)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
1 (12 ounce) container whipped topping
1 (11 3/4 ounce) container hot fudge
2 tablespoons hot fudge
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
2 small ziploc bags

Steps:

  • In bowl beat peanut butter, cream cheese and sugar together.
  • Fold in 3 cups whipped topping.
  • Smooth mixture into pie shell.
  • Cover mixture with layer of hot fudge.
  • Refrigerate until serving.
  • When serving:.
  • spread rest of whipped topping over top of hot fudge.
  • Take 2 tablespoons hot fudge in bag and knead until soft (easy to dribble over pie).
  • Do the same with 2 tablespoons peanut butter.
  • Cut corner of fudge bag and drizzle over pie.
  • Repeat with peanut butter.

4 ounces cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup milk
8 ounces Cool Whip
chocolate shavings (optional)
1 chocolate cookie pie crust (or 1 graham cracker pie crust)

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar,milk and peanut butter together.
  • Fold in Cool Whip.
  • Pour into pie crust.
  • Chill Well (at least an hour).
  • Sprinkle wih shaved chocolate (a Hershey's bar, chilled first, works well).

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup butter, melted
9 ounces chocolate wafer cookies, crushed fine (Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers are my favorite.)
20 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
20 ounces creamy peanut butter
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups honey roasted peanuts, chopped (optional)
hot fudge (optional)

Steps:

  • To make crust combine crushed cookies and melted butter until well mixed. Press into 9-inch springform pan working the crust 2-inches high along the sides.
  • Beat cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer until smooth. Add peanut butter and beat until all ingredients are well-blended. (This is not for a mixer that is faint of heart) Set peanut butter mixture aside.
  • In another bowl beat cream and powdered sugar until the mixture forms stiff peaks. Gently fold in whipped cream using 1/3 of mixture at a time.
  • Pour into springform pan.
  • (optional) Sprinkle with chopped honey roasted peanuts.
  • Put in freezer until firm (3-5 hours depending on your freezer).
  • When firm, remove pie from the springform pan to serve.
  • Serve with your favorite hot fudge sauce if you desire though this is awesome on its own!
  • Make sure to refrigerate leftovers (if there are any).
