This is a recipe that I adopted from the Zaar account. It's a lot like a layered dip that my family has always made.

1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
3 avocados
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 (1 1/4 ounce) packet taco seasoning mix
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tomatoes (chopped or drained)
8 ounces sour cream
8 ounces cheddar cheese (grated)

Steps:

  • Mash avocados with lemon juice, salt and pepper until smooth.
  • In separate bowl, mix sour cream with mayonnaise and taco seasoning mix.
  • In loaf pan, layer beans, avocado mix, sour cream mix, onions, tomatoes and cheese.

Stand back and watch it disappear! People eat this stuff up so fast...and they go wild for the avacados. If you're not into fat-free or light, feel free to use the full fat options.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 can refried beans (I use the fat-free beans)
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
2 avocados, mashed
2 cups light sour cream
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or 1 cup colby cheese
sliced black olives
diced tomato

Steps:

  • Spread refried beans on a pizza pan.
  • Sprinkle with 1/3 of taco seasoning.
  • Spread mashed avacados over bean layer.
  • Sprinkle with 1/3 of taco seasoning.
  • Spread sour cream over avacado layer.
  • Sprinkle with 1/3 of taco seasoning.
  • Sprinkle cheeses evenly over sour cream layer.
  • Top with black olive slices and diced tomatoes if you choose.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.
