Chocolate bars with macadamia nuts and white chocolate chips.

4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
¾ cup unsalted butter
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ¾ cups white sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
¾ cup chopped macadamia nuts
1 ½ cups white chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat a 9x13 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Melt chocolate and butter in bowl over simmering water. Remove from heat and stir until smooth.
  • Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt, set aside. In a medium bowl, stir together the sugar, vanilla and eggs. Add the chocolate mixture and stir until well blended. Then add the dry ingredients, mix well. Finally stir in the nuts and 3/4 cup of the chips.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining chips evenly over the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until firm and white chips are lightly colored. Cut into bars when cool.

Yes, these cupcakes look like those famous spotted dogs. The chocolate cake has a hidden creamy filling and chocolate chip "spots." Kids love them!

2 packages (3 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups miniature or regular semisweet chocolate chips
1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ devil's food cake mix
1 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 container Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy or Whipped vanilla frosting

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
  • In medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and 1 egg with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Stir in 1 cup of the chocolate chips; set aside.
  • In large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil and 3 eggs on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Divide batter among muffin cups (1/4 cup in each). Top each with 1 heaping teaspoon cream cheese mixture.
  • Bake 21 to 27 minutes or until tops spring back when touched lightly. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove from pans to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  • Frost with frosting. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Store loosely covered in refrigerator.
