This is 1 of the many recipes that I have developed over my lifetime of outdoor life.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 Tbsp olive oil
1 lb cubed venison steaks, cut into strips
1 onion, sliced
1 green pepper, cut into strips
1 garlic clove, minced
1 c sliced mushrooms
1 jar(s) (26-ounce) meatless spaghetti sauce
1 tsp basil, dried
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and saute steak strips, onion, green pepper, garlic and mushrooms until done.
  • 2. Stir in spaghetti sauce, basil, salt and pepper.
  • 3. Cover and simmer for 15 - 30 minutes to blend flavors.
  • 4. Serve over paste of your choice.

1 pound beef cubed steak
8 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning dried crushed
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 (4-ounce) can mushrooms sliced, drained
2 tablespoons green bell peppers finely chopped
1 tablespoon green onion thinly sliced
3/4 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
1 1/2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese grated

Steps:

  • * Cooking Time: 14 to 16 minutes Power: 100% (700 watts) Standing Time: 5 minutes Cut steaks into four equal serving-size pieces. Arrange in a single layer in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch microwavable dish. Brush each steak with 1 tablespoon of the tomato sauce. Sprinkle with Italian herbs, garlic salt and pepper. Top each with mushrooms, then green pepper, green onion and 1 tablespoon tomato sauce. Cover with waxed paper.Microwave at 100% power (700 watts) for 14 to 16 minutes or until meat is very tender and no longer pink, rotating dish one-fourth turn after 5 minutes and basting with sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then Parmesan cheese. Cover with waxed paper and let stand for 5 minutes.
