SIMPLE CROCK POT ROASTED CHICKEN BREASTS AND GRAVY
This is just a very easy way to roast chicken breasts. I use the very large skinless, boneless breasts that come in a package of three breasts. I got them at Harris Teeter when they were having a buy one, get three free sale. They are so delicious and tender when fixed this way and it's so simple. Just thicken the broth and...

Steps:
- 1. Wash chicken breasts and place into a crock pot. Sprinkle with salt and Paul Prudhomme's Poultry Magic. Put a large pat of butter on each breast.
- 2. Cook on high for about one hour. Reduce heat to low and cook for 3 to 4 hours or until chicken is tender and tests done. Lower heat to warm setting until ready to make gravy and serve.
- 3. Remove chicken from crock pot and place on a serving platter. Pour broth into a saucepan and thicken to make gravy and serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
- 4. Gravy (how I make mine): I pour my broth through a strainer into a medium saucepan. Add about 1/2 cup of milk to the broth. Mix about two to three tablespoons of flour with enough water to make a pourable paste, set aside. Bring broth/milk to a boil and pour in flour and water mixture, stirring constantly until thickened.
CROCK POT CHICKEN AND PEPPERS WITH GRAVY OVER RICE
I kinda just fudged this one together one night by combining a few recipes that I had made before. My fiance loved it but I thought it might be lacking on salt or that little extra something (but my taste buds have been odd since I quit smoking so it might be perfectly okay). Any suggestions would be great. This can be cooked on High in the crock pot, but I would suggest doing it on Low so it gives the flavors time to cook into the chicken!

Steps:
- Place chicken in slow cooker. Sprinkle with garlic powder and season salt, to taste.
- Cut tops off of peppers and scoop out insides. Discard. Cut peppers into lengthwise. Put in crock pot on top of chicken.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl; pour over chicken and peppers.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high 3 hours.
- Mix flour and water in a small bowl. Turn crock pot to High and add flour mixture. Cover and cook for another half hour. This will help the "gravy" thicken up.
- While "gravy" is cooking, prepare rice according to package directions (I use Success Boil in the Bag and it comes out perfect every time).
- Serve chicken, peppers and gravy over rice.

CROCK POT CHICKEN AND GRAVY
This is an easy basic recipe to make on a weekday or weekend, whenever. Easy enough to just throw in the crock pot, which is my favorite way to cook!

PAMMY'S CROCK POT CHICKEN BREAST AND GRAVY
My hubby (says 5 stars) and grand kids (very fussy) really like this. This is one thing all 3 of the grand kids will actually eat. The grand kids normally don't like gravy much but all of them like this gravy. I serve with mashed potatoes, a veggie and homemade rolls. Hope you enjoy it! Note added - you can use no sodium bouillon. NOTE ADDED - I have also noticed sometimes when I make this it seems more salty then other times. DEFINATELY try to use low sodium or skip the boullion. Nov. 2007...My daughter used a package of Ranch dressing instead of Italian and a jar of gravy instead of a package. She said they all loved it. We don't care for ranch but thought maybe others would be interested.
