Browned ground beef and process cheese capture the great taste of cheeseburgers in a slow cooker sandwich filling.

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic pepper
1 package (8 ounces) pasteurized prepared cheese product loaf, diced (2 cups)
2 tablespoons milk
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
12 sandwich buns, split

Steps:

  • Cook beef and garlic pepper in 12-inch skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.
  • Spray 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Mix beef and remaining ingredients except buns in cooker.
  • Cover and cook on Low heat setting 6 to 7 hours. To serve, fill buns with beef mixture.

2 lbs lean ground beef
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 tablespoons ketchup
2 -3 tablespoons dill pickle relish
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
12 ounces American cheese (cut up or shredded)
3 -4 tablespoons milk
salt, if needed to taste
hamburger buns or kaiser roll
lettuce leaf (optional)

Steps:

  • In large skillet, brown/crumble ground beef with the green pepper, onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Drain.
  • Place cooked drained beef mixture into Crockpot. Add all addiotional ingredients (EXCEPT buns and lettuce).
  • Cover and cook on low for at least six hours, stirring once halfway through.
  • Stir again just before serving.
  • Serve by spooning onto buns/rolls with optional lettuce leaves.
  • If mixture gets too dry while being kept warm, add more ketchup or milk.

8 Pretzel rolls, split (or hamburger buns)

ketchup
mayonnaise
pickle

Steps:

  • Brown beef in a skillet with garlic and seasonings.
  • Drain and mix with Velveeta, milk and onion in slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.

I make these for DH and friends for Football Sunday's. They love them. They are very easy to make and everybody can help themselves and add their own condiments. Serve with chips and plenty of cold beer! They are sure to disappear! I leave the green peppers out since I hate them! This is a great recipe to take to a potluck and can easily be doubled.

2 lbs lean ground beef
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
2 tablespoons milk
2 -3 tablespoons pickle relish
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, put through press
8 sandwich buns
lettuce (optional)
tomatoes (optional)

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with green pepper, onion and black pepper until beef is cooked through.
  • Drain off excess fat and transfer beef to a 3 1/2 to 5-quart crock pot.
  • Add all other ingredients except Hamburger buns, Lettuce and tomato.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 7 hours.
  • Serve the beef on toasted sandwich buns with an assortment of condiments.
