CREAMY BAKED BRIE WITH APPLES AND MAPLE SYRUP
A nice appetizer during the fall. Very easy to prepare and can be served at a dinner party. I received this recipe from a friend years ago.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place round of brie into glass or ceramic pie dish. Drizzle with maple syrup. (Note: If you do not care for the rind, you may slice off the top layer of rind before drizzling with maple syrup.).
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until cheese begins to melt.
- Arrange apple slices and ham around brie and serve with baguette slices.
- Optional: Warm apple wedges and rolls of ham in baking dish with brie during the last few minutes of baking. (I usually skip this step.).

You've never had baked apples like this before! This is an old family recipe that is 'required' at Thanksgiving but eaten all year round.

Steps:
- Peel& core apples, cut in eights.
- (I use my apple corer/slicer and then just peel the slices) Place in a baking dish, and dot with butter.
- Sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar.
- Bake in microwave on HIGH for about 10 minutes or until fork inserts easily, stirring at least once.
- Remove from microwave and set aside.
- In saucepan bring flour, sugar and milk to a boil over medium heat (it will be thick) stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla and stir well.
- Pour over apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg if you desire.
- Serve hot or let cool some.
FAST CREAMY BAKED APPLES - FAT FREE
Apples are so good for you and make a wonderful dessert or even breakfast. This one is somewhere in between and best of all it doesn't have any fat! Can be ready start to finish in under 10 minutes - made in the microwave and can be easily scaled up or down for the number of people you're serving. If your looking to make this more dessert-like, include the optional toppings! WW points w/out optional ingredients = 1

Steps:
- Using a small to medium sized microwave-proof bowl (with lid if you have one), combine Splenda, cornstarch and cinnamon.
- Add 1/3 cup of cold water & vanilla, and whisk until blended. Add diced apple coat them with the cinnamon mixture.
- Cover the dish and microwave for 2 1/2 minutes - apples should appear translucent and be soft, but not be wrinkled. Microwave temperatures vary, so keep an eye on them.
- Leaving the lid on the bowl, allow sauce to thicken on counter or in microwave and cool for a couple of minutes.
- Enjoy fat-free apple dessert OR top with granola, cool whip and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired!
