24 club crackers
12 slices center cut bacon, cut in half
Parmesan cheese, shredded

  • Prep for baking by lining a broiler pan with aluminum foil. Place wire baking rack on top of it. Place a small pile of the cheese on top of each cracker. Wrap bacon around cracker and place on baking rack, seam side down. Bake at 250°F for about 1 1/2 hours. Check on crackers at 1 hour to make sure cheese is not over done. Place aluminum foil over crackers if cheese is getting too brown, and continue cooking until bacon is cooked to desired crispness.

Time 2h20m

Yield 36 crackers

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 sleeve country club-style crackers
3/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 pound thinly sliced bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
  • Lay the crackers face up on a large rack over a baking sheet (or broiler pan). Scoop about 1 teaspoon of the grated Parmesan onto each cracker. Cut the package of bacon in half (or cut pieces individually) and carefully, so the cheese doesn't fall off, wrap each cheese covered cracker with one half piece of bacon, completely covering the cracker. It should fit snugly around the cracker, but not be pulled too taut. Place the bacon-wrapped crackers onto the rack. Place the baking sheet in the oven for about 2 hours. Serve immediately or at room temperature!

DELICIOUS BACON AND CRACKER APPETIZERS

Delicious Bacon and Cracker Appetizers image

I'm always on the search for new appetizers. You can always have the ingredients on hand for this one. It's versatile so if you can't find the Club or Society-style crackers (these are rectangular in shape), any buttery cracker (Ritz will do if you can't find Club). Don't use thick sliced bacon. In fact what I do is take each piece of bacon and lay it on my cutting board and 'smear' it thinner and longer with the warmth of my hands. You might not need the whole box of crackers and you might not use all of the brown sugar. Some people like them with more sugar. Make these to suit YOUR OWN taste. Yield is approximate because I only make them as I need them.

Yield 24 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 lb sliced bacon
1 (16 ounce) box Club crackers or 1 (16 ounce) box any society-type crackers, they are rectangular in shape, you won't need the whole box,it depends on how many appetizers you wan
2 cups brown sugar (remember you may not need all of it)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Line cookie sheet with Reynolds Release® foil.
  • Cut bacon slices in half (or thirds if you've'smeared' it thin and long with your hands).
  • I separate crackers at perforations so each cracker will be about two bites.
  • Wrap bacon from under short end of cracker up and around to the other end of cracker so the cracker is wrapped and ends of bacon are underneath cracker.
  • Sprinkle each bacon wrapped cracker with some brown sugar (to taste).
  • Bake in 350° for about 20-30 minutes or until lightly browned and bacon is a little crispy.
  • Remove IMMEDIATELY from baking sheet to serving platter especially if you haven't used the Release® foil because you don't want them to stick.
  • Enjoy warm.
