My brother and I love this hotdish. Actually, our whole family does, but we do the most! This is a filling meal that you can't get sick of! (So it is great for leftovers!) Plus, it is really easy to make, and all of the ingredients are on hand!

1 lb lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup celery, cut
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can 98% fat-free cream of mushroom soup
3 1/2-4 cups chow mein noodles

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef.
  • During this time, mix together the soups, then add the onion and celery, and add the chow mein noodles in a 2.5 quart dish.
  • Drain the gound beef when fully cooked, then combine the meat to the dish.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, covered with foil. (This doubles very well! For the chow mein noodles, just use the full 12 oz. bag)

1 1/2 lbs hamburger
1 cup chow mein noodles
1 cup chopped celery
1 can chicken noodle soup
1 can vegetable soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can sliced mushrooms (optional)
1 can mixed vegetables (optional)

Steps:

  • Brown hamburger.
  • Mix all ingredients in a casserole dish.
  • Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • When finished you can sprinkle chow mein noodles on top if you like.

2 lb hamburger
1 large onion
1 c celery
2 can(s) chicken with rice soup
2 can(s) mixed vegetables or chow mien vegetables, drain juice
1/4 c soy sauce, any kind
2 c chow mien noodles
2 can(s) cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup, whichever you prefer

Steps:

  • 1. Brown the hamburger, large onion ( sliced and cut), and the celery (sliced and cut)
  • 2. Put browned hamburger mixture in pan or dish. Add the cream of mushroom or cream of celery that you chose. Then add the chicken with rice soup, the mixed vegetables( drain juice), soy sauce, and the chow mien noodles.
  • 3. Bake for 1 hour @ 350, covered.
