1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained
⅓ cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 pinch salt
4 English muffins, split and toasted
8 slices ripe tomato
8 slices Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to broil.
  • In a bowl, mix together tuna, celery, mayonnaise and salt. Spread tuna mixture onto the toasted muffin halves and place them on a baking sheet. Top each half with a slice of tomato and a slice of cheese.
  • Broil until cheese is melted, about 3 to 5 minutes.

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
8 slices rye or white bread
1 pouch (6.40 ounces) light tuna
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
4 slices process American cheese
4 tablespoons butter, divided

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine sour cream and garlic salt; spread on one side of each slice of bread. In another small bowl, combine tuna and mayonnaise; spread on four slices of bread. Top with cheese and remaining bread; gently press together., Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. 200g can tuna , whatever type you've got in the cupboard
½ a bunch of spring onions , finely chopped
4 tbsp mayonnaise
3thick slices of granary or wholemeal bread
50g cheddar , coarsely grated
generous pinch of paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat the grill on its highest setting. Drain the tuna, flake it into a bowl and mix with the spring onions and mayonnaise. Season with salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper.
  • Toast the bread under the grill until it's nicely browned on both sides, then spread the tuna mixture on top, right up to the edges of the toast. Scatter over the cheese and put back under the grill until the cheese is bubbling.
  • Slice in half, sprinkle with paprika and tuck in.

2 Tablespoons finely chopped red onion
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
pinch dried oregano leaves
salt and pepper (, to taste)
4 slices thick cut white sandwich bread
4 slices cheese (, cheddar, provolone, swiss, or your fav kind)
sliced avocado (, optional)
sliced tomato (, optional)

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, onion, lemon juice, and oregano and stir until thoroughly combined. Add more mayo if you want mixture wetter. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Butter outsides of bread slices. Layer tuna mixture on inside portion of bread. Add cheese, desired toppings, then another piece of cheese and top with bread.

1 (16 ounce) package medium seashell pasta
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (15 ounce) can mixed vegetables, drained
1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon oil to the water to prevent sticking. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Crispy tortilla stuffed with cheese and spicy tuna, a fast and inexpensive recipe that my husband loves and you will too. I was looking for a low calorie recipe and did some experimenting and used ingredients from my mother's hot tuna melt.

1 (5 ounce) can tuna in water, drained
1 small tomatoes, sliced very thinly
2 green onions, chopped
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
2 large flour tortillas

Steps:

  • Put the ingredients on 1/2 of each tortilla.
  • Divide the tuna between the 2 tortillas and sprinkle with the dry mustard.
  • Divide the green onions and the tomato slices and put on top of the tuna Sprinkle each with 1/2 cup cheese.
  • Fold each tortilla over and grill on both sides until lightly toasted and crispy.
