MOMMA'S HOT DOG CASSEROLE
This recipe is one from my childhood 30 years ago, and haven't run across another one like it. Definitely a tasty, unique flavor unlike any other.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil; cook the rotini at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes; drain.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onions until translucent, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer onions to a large bowl and mix cooked rotini, tomato soup, hot dogs, corn with its juice, dill pickle relish, and yellow mustard into onions. Pour mixture into a baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until bubbling and the top is lightly browned, about 1 hour.

- Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the hot dogs, onion and celery in oil until vegetables are tender. Add the tomato sauce, mustard, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; cook and stir until heated through., Drain spaghetti; toss with hot dog mixture. Serve immediately, sprinkling each serving with cheese. Or cool spaghetti; transfer to freezer containers and freeze for up to 3 months., To use frozen spaghetti: Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Place in a saucepan and heat through. Sprinkle each serving with cheese.

Here's what you need: olive oil, garlic, onion, hot dog sausages, tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, heavy milk, penne pasta, water, green onion, parmesan cheese

- In a big pot, add the olive oil, the garlic, the onion and mix it well.
- Add the hot dog sausages and mix it well. Add the tomatoes and mix it well.
- Add the seasoning: sugar, salt and pepper. Mix it well.
- Add the heavy milk and mix it.
- Add the raw penne pasta, the water and mix it well.
- Let it cook for 15 minutes, stirring each 5 minutes for the pasta not to stick on the bottom.
- Turn off the heat, add the green onions, mix it and close the pan lid.
- Wait 5 minutes with the pan closed before serving.
- Serve with parmesan cheese to taste.

Yes, thats right...spaghetti is coming out of these hot dogs!!! I loved this recipe as soon as I saw it! Its such a cool idea! My kids loved this and it was fun to make! I served this with a cheddar cheese sauce, as you can see in my photo! You can use a cheese sauce from your favorite mac n' cheese recipe!

- Cut each hot dog into 8 equal pieces.
- Push 5 pieces of raw spaghetti into each piece of hot dog.
- Fill a 5 quart pot with water and let boil. Then add all the hot dog pieces that are skewered with the spaghetti. Let boil for about 7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the cheese sauce. Add the hot dog spaghetti to the cheese sauce. Serve warm.

Super easy and budget wise Pasta Dish in a thick cheesy tomato sauce with pieces of sauteed hot dogs.

- Dice onion and saute in 1 tbs olive oil in a pot, large enough to also boil the pasta inches.
- Ad uncooked pasta, tomato sauce, water and half and half.
- Season with salt, pepper, basil, oregano and some instant broth to taste.
- Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and stir frequently.
- While pasta and tomato sauce cook, slice hot dogs into 1/4 inch slices and saute in some butter until browned on both sides and ad too the pasta/sauce mix, continue to cook until pasta reaches preferred consistency. If necessary, ad some more liquid (e.g. water, half and half) should pasta absorbs too much sauce.
- Right before serving, stir in shredded cheese.
- Serve with buttered slices of bread.
- The dish should have the overall texture of a baked casserole: thick, the sauce will be mostly absorbed by the pasta. Leftovers heat up great in the micro wave the next day.
