  • Welcome your guests with a cup of "blood": Stir one 64-ounce bottle cherry or cranberry-cherry juice, 1 liter ginger ale, 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1 tablespoon grenadine in a large punch bowl. Add 2 cups frozen cherries and 1 orange, cut into chunks. (To spike it, add 2 cups bourbon or rye and 3 dashes orange bitters. )

It's just a great party punch that's about all I can say. My niece gave me the recipe and it is always there at our family gatherings. Recipe easily altered to taste.

1 (64 ounce) bottle unsweetened raspberry drink
1 (64 ounce) bottle unsweetened cherry drink
1 (12 ounce) can frozen concentrated orange juice (thawed)
1 (12 ounce) can frozen concentrated lemonade (thawed)
6 (12 ounce) cans water (use can from concentrated juice)
2 cups sugar
1 liter Cherry 7-Up

Steps:

  • Mix all the ingredients together except the Cherry 7up.
  • Stir in the Cherry 7up right before serving.
  • Serve over ice.
  • NOTE: Have a couple Ice buckets full of ice close by so the punch doesn't get watered down.
  • Serve in a big punch bowl and float some orange slices on the punch if you like.

4 (2 liter) bottles Cherry 7-Up (or enough to fill your punch bowl and to create an ice-ring, if desired.)
2 -3 oranges, sliced
2 -3 limes, sliced
2 -3 lemons, sliced
ice

Steps:

  • If desired, prepare and freeze an ice ring or mold with Cherry 7-Up and some sliced citrus.
  • Slice desired quantities of citrus fruits.
  • When ready to serve, pour chilled Cherry 7-Up into the punch bowl, add ice or ice ring, sliced fruits, and serve.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice, strained
1/2 cup fresh orange juice, strained
1/4 cup fresh lime juice, strained
1/4 cup superfine granulated sugar
1 pound fresh black cherries, pitted (or a 17-ounce can pitted black cherries, drained)
2 cups light rum
1/2 cup dark rum
1/2 cup Cherry Heering
1/2 cup crème de cassis
4 cups chilled seltzer or club soda
Garnish: thin lime slices

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine lemon juice, orange juice and lime juice. Stir in sugar and continuestirring until dissolved. Stir in cherries, light rum, dark rum, Cherry Heering and crème de cassis. Chill for 1 hour. Transfer to a punch bowl and stir in the seltzer. Add a block of ice or ice cubes. Garnish the punch with lime slices.
