1 box (1 lb 3.8 oz) Betty Crockerâ„¢ Supreme walnut brownie mix
3 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Whipped cream topping (from aerosol can) or frozen (thawed) whipped topping
Fresh strawberries

Steps:

  • Heat waffle maker. (Waffle makers without a nonstick coating may need to be brushed with vegetable oil or sprayed with cooking spray before batter for each waffle is added.) In large bowl, stir brownie mix, eggs and oil with whisk just until smooth.
  • Pour slightly less than 3/4 cup batter onto center of hot waffle maker. (Check manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle maker. Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle. Repeat with remaining batter.
  • Serve waffles topped with whipped cream and strawberries.

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs, seperated
1 3/4 cups milk
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/3 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Grease and preheat waffle iron.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, chocolate chips, cocoa, and walnuts in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine egg yolks, milk, and cooking oil.
  • Add the liquid mixture to the dry mixture. Stir until combined, but still lumpy.
  • In a small bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • GENTLY, fold the egg whites into the lumpy batter.
  • Pour the batter onto the iron and bake until done.
  • For an even more sinful treat, top with whipped cream, fresh strawberries or raspberries, chocolate sauce and chopped nuts.

Yummy chocolate waffles! Great for breakfast or dessert. Makes awesome waffle ice cream sandwiches.

1/2 c butter
3 oz semi sweet chocolate
1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. In saucepan over medium heat melt butter and chocolate. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Then mix in eggs, vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk in milk until smooth. Pour 1/2 to 1 cup batter into preheated waffle iron sprayed with cooking spray and cook about 2 minutes.
  • 2. Several ways to enjoy these. Sprinkle a little powdered sugar on them or maybe some fruit and whipped cream. Want a dessert, top with some ice cream and chocolate syrup. Make ice cream sandwiches. So many choices...

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
2 well beaten eggs
1 cup sugar
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Beat shortening until creamy and fluffy.
  • Slowly adding in sugar, continue creaming shortening with sugar.
  • When light, add in melted chocolate, then eggs.
  • Blend well.
  • Sift dry ingredients together, add alternately with milk with the vanilla added.
  • Add in the nuts and blend well.
  • Bake batter in a waffle iron.
