BEST EVER OATMEAL COOKIES--LAND O LAKES
I got this recipe years ago in a supermarket checkout cookbook called Fast Scratch Vegetarian--I think it MIGHT be from Land O' Lakes but my copy is fairly shredded so I can't be sure. At any rate, we have been making these for years, and though the recipe title is theirs I have to say I agree! I hope you do, too!

Steps:
- Heat oven to 375.
- In a large bowl combine all ingredients except flour. Beat at low speed until well mixed.
- Stir in flour, then raisins. Drop by even tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.

OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES
Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Combine brown sugar and butter in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add eggs, water and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Add all remaining ingredients except oats and raisins; beat at low speed until well mixed. Stir in oats and raisins.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9-11 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack. Cool completely.
