1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green onions
2 garlic cloves, minced
6 cups cooked wide egg noodles
1-1/2 cups frozen peas
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (14-3/4 ounces) cream-style corn
3 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook the beef, onions and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Transfer to a greased 3-qt. baking dish. , Cover and bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until heated through.

1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
4-3/4 cups uncooked wide egg noodles
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
3/4 cup milk
SPINACH LAYER:
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup milk
2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese, divided
2/3 cup crushed french-fried onions

Steps:

  • In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. In a large bowl, combine soup and milk until blended. Stir in beef mixture and noodles; set aside., For spinach layer, in a large saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour, paprika, salt, pepper and nutmeg until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in spinach and green onions., In a greased shallow 2-1/2-qt. baking dish, layer half of the beef mixture and half of the cheese. Top with spinach mixture and remaining beef mixture. Cover and bake at 375° for 35 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Top with french-fried onions. Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

1 lb ground beef
1 can(s) (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
8 oz egg noodles
1/2 c sour cream
1-1/4 c small curd cottage cheese
1/2 c green onions, sliced
1/2 tsp garlic salt
freshly ground black pepper
1 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until cooked; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, pepper, seasoned salt and garlic powder. Simmer on low until ready to combine in casserole.
  • 2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, green onions, garlic salt and pepper. Add cooked noodles and combine.
  • 3. In a greased 13x9" baking dish, assemble in layers: 1/2 of noodle mixture, 1/2 of meat mixture, 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar; repeat all three layers.
  • 4. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 25 minutes until cheese is melted and heated through.

This Beefy Sour Cream Noodle Bake is pure comfort food! Wide egg noodles and a meaty sauce with a creamy middle layer, all topped with Cheddar cheese!

8 oz. wide egg noodles
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 of a green pepper, seeded and chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
3 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
1 tbsp. sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 cup small-curd cottage cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
3-4 green onions, chopped
1 1/2 cups (6 oz.) Cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain.
  • Meanwhile, brown and crumble the ground beef with green pepper and garlic until beef is no longer pink. Drain. Add the tomato sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Add the drained, cooked noodles to the meat sauce. Mix well.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese and cream cheese until smooth and thoroughly combined. Add the sour cream and green onions. Mix well.
  • Layer half of the noodle mixture into the prepared dish. Top with all of the cream cheese mixture, spreading evenly over the top of the noodles. Add the remaining noodle mixture over the top. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until heated through and the cheese is melted.

A friend gave me this recipe and I thought the combinationof the Sloppy Joe sauce and the soup was weird. I had all the ingredients in the house one day and figured I would give it a try. It was quite tasty.

1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 (15 ounce) can sloppy joe sandwich sauce
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushroom
4 cups uncooked broad egg noodles
1 cup cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Boil noodles according to package directions.
  • Meanwhile brown beef and onion till cooked.
  • Drain off fat.
  • Add Sloppy Joe sauce and soup to meat.
  • Stir to combine well.
  • Add mushrooms.
  • Cook til bubbly.
  • Combine cooked and drained noodles with meat mixture.
  • Stir well.
  • Place mixture in greased 2 qt.
  • casserole.
  • Sprinkle top with cheese.
  • Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and casserole is heated through.
