I had this once and absolutely had to make it my own....can be eaten alone or over rice.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 package(s) bean sprouts, fresh
1 bunch(es) scallions
1 medium carrot, shredded
1 teaspoon(s) olive oil
1 tablespoon(s) toasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
1 pinch(es) red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • steam the bean sprouts for about 5 mins... just to soften a bit
  • meanwhile, in a skillet add oil, saute the scallions and shredded carrots. ( a couple mins)
  • drain sprouts, stir in...add the rest of the ingredients.... and that's it...so simple and delicious serve alone (drain) or over rice ( don't drain)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 Medium cucumbers, halved, seeded and sliced into matchsticks
1 Medium red bell pepper, seeded and sliced into matchsticks
1 Large papaya, halved, seeded, peeeled and sliced into matchsticks.
1 (8 oz) Pkg fresh bean sprouts
2 C Tri-color slaw mix
3/4 C Bottled Asian style dressing
1/4 C Green onions, sliced
1 (3 oz) Pkg crispy chow mein noodles

Steps:

  • Lightly toss cucumbers, bell pepper, papaya, bean sprouts and slaw mix in large bowl. Pour dressing over cucumber mixture; add more dressing to taste. Toss lightly. Cover with plastic wrap and chill 30 minutes. Toss before serving. Top with green onions and crispy chow mein noodles.
