MAPLE BACON WRAPPED PORK CHOPS

Don't be fooled, these Maple Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops are so simple to whip up and are a juicy, delicious dinner to make for a weeknight dinner for the family or to wow your guests. Simple to prep and pair well with a number of dinner sides!

1 ½ lb pork chops (3-4)
2 garlic cloves, minced
2-3 T maple syrup
6-8 bacon strips (uncooked)
½ tsp ground mustard
½ tsp ground pepper
½ tsp sea salt (more or less to taste)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • For best results and bacon that is crispy, microwave the bacon strips for about 1-2 minutes on a paper towel lined plate. You want to give the bacon a head start if you want it extra crispy. **In my 1000 watt microwave it takes 7 minutes for a nice and crispy piece of bacon.
  • Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, ground mustard and garlic. Wrap two pieces of bacon tightly around each pork chop. Try to allow the ends of the bacon to end up on the underside of each pork chop if possible. If not, give it an extra press to keep it in place.
  • Place pork chops in a baking dish sprayed with oil. Brush the maple along each of the pork chops to cover evenly. Turn the pork chops over to get both sides. Re-set the pork chops evenly and place in the oven.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F. (145°F - 160°F is ideal for pork.)Flip halfway through if desired, but I don't do this to allow the top bacon to get really crispy.
  • Broil for 2-3 minutes to allow for extra crispiness and then allow to sit for about 5 minutes before serving.

6 tablespoons process cheese sauce
12 slices bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through but still flexible. Wrap two slices of bacon around each pork chop and top with a tablespoon of cheese sauce. Place the pork chops in a baking dish.
  • Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven.

Boneless pork chops are stuffed with bacon, Cheddar and barbecue sauce and browned in a skillet before finishing in the oven. Serve with a side of Betty Crocker™ mashed potatoes, and dinner is done!

4 boneless pork loin chops (3/4-inch thick), trimmed of fat (about 1 1/2 lb)
1/3 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup chopped cooked bacon
1/4 cup Annie's™ organic sweet & spicy barbecue sauce (from 12-oz bottle)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
Sliced green onion, if desired
Betty Crocker™ creamy butter mashed potatoes, prepared as directed on pouch, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F. Spray 15x10x1-inch pan with cooking spray, or line with cooking parchment paper.
  • In thick side of each pork chop, cut a slit about 2 inches deep and 3 inches long to form a pocket (do not cut in half.) In small bowl, mix cheese, bacon and 4 teaspoons of the barbecue sauce. Spoon generous tablespoonfuls cheese mixture into each pocket; pinch edges of pork together, and secure with toothpick.
  • Sprinkle both sides of pork with salt and pepper. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook pork chops in oil 1 to 2 minutes, turning once, just until lightly browned. Place pork chops apart on pan.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted in thickest part of pork reads 145°F. In small microwavable bowl, microwave remaining barbecue sauce covered on High 45 to 60 seconds or until heated through.
  • Before serving, remove toothpicks from pork chops. Brush chops with warm barbecue sauce; garnish with green onion. Serve with mashed potatoes.

I made these the other night and they were so good I wanted to share them.These are so quick and easy.

4 3 ounce boneless pork loin chop
4 slice bacon
4 Tbsp your favorite bbq sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Wrap 1 slice of bacon around chop holding ends with tooth pick.
  • 3. Bake 15 minutes and then remove toothpicks. Turn over and bake another 15 minutes.
  • 4. Brush 1/2 of the BBQ sauce on the chops and broil until bacon starts to turn crisp (about 5 minutes). Turn over and brush with remaining BBQ sauce return to broiler and broil about 5 minutes.
  • 5. Note: if you use a broiler pan it lets all the greese from bacon drippings collect away from the meat. On the lighter side subs. Turkey bacon for pork bacon.

Absolutely delicious take on pork chops. The chops really benefit from the bacon, making them moist and flavorful. You can also do on the grill if you prefer.

4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
8 slices bacon
4 sprigs fresh rosemary
salt & freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • On work surface layer slices of bacon side by side. Place each chop on 2 pieces of bacon (picture 2 slices of bacon as the upright part of an H, and the pork chop as the across section). Season with salt and pepper.
  • Slather the chops with barbeque sauce. Flip the chops and slather the other side as well, until barbeque sauce is used up.
  • Lay a sprig of rosemary on each chop (letting the ends hang over the edge, for easy removal before serving).
  • Wrap bacon slices tightly around each chop.
  • Prepare broiler pan (or any roasting pan with a rack), by spraying surface with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a meat thermometer inserted in thickest part of the meat should register about 150°F
  • Turn oven to broil and broil on each side until bacon is crisp.
  • Let chops rest for a few minutes. Remove rosemary sprigs before serving.
  • If desired, serve with additional warmed barbeque sauce.
  • Note: To cook on grill, cook over direct heat for about 5 minutes per side, then transfer to indirect heat and continue cooking until internal temperature is 150°F (about 30 minutes).

  • 1. preheat oven to 350
  • 2. season pork chops with salt and pepper (or any other seasoning you like)

  • Microwave bacon between layers of microwavable paper towels on microwavable plate 3 to 4 minutes or just until edges begin to brown but are still soft and pliable. Cut each piece in half crosswise.

12 slices bacon
1 (12 ounce) bottle tomato-based chili sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven's broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  • Wrap each pork chop in 2 bacon slices to completely cover the pork chop, and secure with toothpicks. Place the wrapped chops onto a broiler pan, and broil until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
