Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
2 cups white wine
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup dried apricots, diced the same size as the cranberries
1/4 cup canola oil
4 cloves garlic, smashed
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 shallots, minced
2 cups chicken stock
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
6 fresh sage leaves, minced
Zest of 1 lemon
Flaky sea salt, for garnish

  • Season the turkey breast on both sides with kosher salt and pepper. Refrigerate, uncovered, for 24 hours on a metal rack in a baking sheet.
  • Bring the turkey breast to room temperature. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In a medium saucepan, bring the white wine to a boil. Pour over the dried cranberries and apricots in a large heatsafe bowl. Allow to cool and the fruit to absorb some of the liquid, about 1 hour.
  • In a large saute pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. When the pan begins to lightly smoke, season the turkey with more kosher salt and pepper. Place the turkey in the pan skin-side down. When it begins to brown, flip the turkey, add the garlic, rosemary and 3 tablespoons of the butter and baste for 1 minute. Transfer to the oven and roast until the internal temperature registers 155 degrees F, 35 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the breast. Set the turkey aside skin-side up to rest for about 1 hour.
  • Return the pan to medium-high heat, add the shallots and dried fruit with the wine and cook until the liquid is almost evaporated, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the chicken stock and reduce by half, 10 to 15 minutes. Finish with the vinegar, sage, lemon zest and remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Season with kosher salt and pepper.
  • Slice the turkey, arrange on a large serving dish and pour the sauce over it. Garnish with flaky sea salt.

Apricot rosemary grilled turkey breast is a delicious and healthy recipe that combines the sweetness of apricots with the earthy flavor of rosemary to create a succulent and flavorful dish. This dish is perfect for summer barbecues, family dinners, or even for meal prep. It is easy to make and perfect for those who are health-conscious or following a low-carb or keto diet.

The Ingredients:

The ingredients for this recipe include:

  • Turkey breast
  • Apricots
  • Fresh Rosemary
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper
Turkey Breast:

The turkey breast should be boneless and skinless. It is important to choose high-quality meat to ensure the best possible flavor and texture. You can purchase the turkey breast from your local grocery store or meat market.

Apricots:

Fresh apricots are best for this recipe, but you can also use canned apricots if fresh ones are not available. The apricots add a sweetness to the dish and are a great source of vitamins and minerals.

Rosemary:

Fresh rosemary is essential to this recipe. Rosemary is a fragrant herb that adds an earthy and slightly woodsy flavor to the dish. It is a great source of antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Olive Oil:

Olive oil is used to marinate the turkey breast and for grilling. It is a healthy source of fat and adds to the flavor of the dish.

Salt and Pepper:

Salt and pepper are used to season the turkey breast and apricots. They also enhance the other flavors in the dish.

Preparation:

The preparation for this recipe is fairly simple and can be completed in a few steps.

Step 1: Marinating the Turkey Breast

Start by preparing the turkey breast. Place the turkey breast in a large bowl or dish and season with salt and pepper. Pour olive oil over the turkey breast and add fresh rosemary. Make sure the turkey is well coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl or dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.

Step 2: Preparing the Apricots

While the turkey is marinating, prepare the apricots. Cut the apricots in half and remove the seeds. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.

Step 3: Grilling the Turkey and Apricots

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the turkey breast from the marinade and place it on the grill. Grill for 8-10 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. During the last few minutes of grilling, add the apricots to the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are slightly caramelized.

Step 4: Letting the Turkey Rest

After grilling, remove the turkey breast from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Resting the meat allows the juices to redistribute, creating a more tender and juicy turkey breast.

Serving:

Once the turkey breast has rested, slice it into thin pieces and serve with the grilled apricots on the side. This dish can be served as a main course or as a side dish. It is delicious when paired with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Apricot rosemary grilled turkey breast is a healthy, delicious, and easy to make recipe that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of the sweetness of apricots and the earthy flavor of rosemary adds dimension to this dish. With only a few ingredients, this dish is not only delicious but healthy as well. Grilling is one of the most popular cooking methods that people love to do during summer. It is easy and cost-effective to prepare anything you want to cook that could be done anywhere, at any time, whether in the backyard or in a park. One of the best meats to grill is the turkey breast. It is a great source of protein, relatively low fat, and palatable. A typical way to make turkey breast in the grill is to marinate it with rosemary and apricot, which gives it a fantastic flavor. In this article, we shall discuss valuable tips that will help you make delicious apricot rosemary grilled turkey breast recipes.

Pick the Right Turkey Breast

Essential to the success of your apricot rosemary grilled turkey breast recipe is the type of turkey breast you purchase. It is best to select turkey breast that is fresh and not frozen, as this will improve the taste and texture of your dish. Fresh turkey breast will make the marinade more flavorful.
Brining the Turkey Breast
Brining a turkey breast makes all the difference in the texture, moisture, and flavor of the grilled meat. Brining helps to tenderize the muscles, add moisture and improve the taste of the turkey. It involves soaking the meat in a water and salt solution, which allows the meat to absorb moisture and flavor. For best results, marinate the turkey breast for at least 3-4 hours or overnight in this solution, ensuring that you mix in other flavors such as rosemary, garlic and other seasonings.
Marinating the Turkey Breast
Marinating your turkey breast is an essential step in creating an apricot rosemary grilled turkey breast recipe. A properly marinated turkey breast will have a lot of flavor, making it more mouth-watering. A simple apricot and rosemary marinade will do the trick. You can buy apricot preserves for this or make your own by simmering fresh apricots until soft and then pureeing them with a little sugar. Add rosemary, olive oil, garlic and lemon to the puree to create a fantastic marinade that satisfies your taste buds.
Grilling the Turkey Breast
Grilling turkey breast requires a few extra steps to ensure that you get the perfect results. First, you need to preheat the grill to high heat. To get the right temperature, let the grill heat up for at least 10-15 minutes before adding the turkey. Brush the grill grates with oil to prevent the meat from sticking to the grill. Place the turkey breast on the grill and let it cook for 10-15 minutes. Turn the turkey breast over to cook the other side for another 10-15 minutes. Ensure that you have a meat thermometer to keep track of the internal temperature of the meat. The temperature should read 165 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure that the meat is fully cooked.
Resting the Turkey Breast
After taking the turkey breast off the grill, it is critical to rest it for a few minutes. Resting allows the meat to reabsorb its juices, creating a moist, tender, and succulent turkey. Cover the turkey breast with foil and let it rest for at least ten minutes before cutting it. This step will make a big difference in the texture and quality of your meat.

Conclusion

Grilling is an excellent way to cook turkey breast, and the apricot rosemary marinade adds a fantastic flavor. Follow the tips above to create delicious and mouth-watering apricot rosemary grilled turkey breast recipes. The key to a perfect turkey breast is to use fresh meat, brine it, marinate it, grill it to perfection, and let it rest before serving.
