Steps:

  • Microwave the almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl until melted, 1 to 2 minutes. Place the puffcorn in a large mixing bowl or giant resealable bag (like a sweater storage bag). Pour the melted almond bark over the puffcorn and mix or shake to completely coat.

What is Almond Bark Puff Corn?

Almond bark puff corn is a snack that consists of corn puffs (also known as "corn pops") that are coated in a mixture of melted almond bark, sugar, and other flavorings. The corn puffs used in this snack are similar to the ones found in cereal, but are larger and more dense. They provide a light and crispy texture that contrasts perfectly with the creamy and sweet coating.

Ingredients of Almond Bark Puff Corn

The key ingredients in almond bark puff corn recipes are:
1. Corn Puffs
Corn puffs are the main ingredient in this snack. They can usually be found in the cereal aisle of most grocery stores and are available in a variety of flavors.

3. Sugar
Sugar is added to the almond bark mixture to give the snack a sweet taste.
4. Additional Flavors (Optional)
Other flavorings can also be added to the almond bark mixture to give the snack additional flavor. Some popular options include vanilla extract, almond extract, cinnamon, and sea salt.

Making almond bark puff corn is easy and only requires a few steps. Here is a simple recipe to get you started:
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of corn puffs (6-7 cups) - 1 package of almond bark (16 oz) - 1/4 cup of granulated sugar - 1 tsp of vanilla extract (optional) - 1/2 tsp of sea salt (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 250°F. 2. Spread the corn puffs out on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the baking sheet in the oven for 10 minutes to help remove any excess moisture from the puffs. 3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark according to the package instructions. 4. Add the sugar and any additional flavorings (i.e. vanilla extract, sea salt) to the melted almond bark and stir until fully combined. 5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and pour the almond bark mixture over the corn puffs. Use a spatula to gently toss the corn puffs until they are fully coated in the mixture. 6. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes. 7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the almond bark puff corn cool for 10-15 minutes. 8. Once the snack is cool, break it up into smaller pieces and serve.

Variations of Almond Bark Puff Corn

One of the great things about almond bark puff corn is that it can be easily customized to suit individual tastes. Here are a few variations to try:
1. Chocolate Almond Bark Puff Corn
If you prefer a more chocolaty snack, try substituting the almond bark with chocolate almond bark or dark chocolate.
2. Nutty Almond Bark Puff Corn
For a nuttier flavor, try adding chopped nuts (i.e. almonds, pecans, peanuts) to the almond bark mixture before coating the corn puffs.
3. Caramel Almond Bark Puff Corn
For a seriously decadent snack, try drizzling caramel sauce over the almond bark puff corn once it has cooled.
