Yield 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

nonstick cooking spray
2 cups shredded chicken, cooked
2 cups broccoli, finely chopped
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups alfredo sauce, divided
12 wide lasagna noodles, cooked
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C). Grease a 9-inch (23-cm) springform pan with nonstick spray.
  • In a large bowl, add the chicken, broccoli, half of mozzarella, the Parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and half of alfredo sauce. Mix thoroughly.
  • Place one of the lasagna noodles vertically on a cutting board. Scoop a spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the noodle and spread.
  • Starting with the end closest to you, roll up the noodle, being careful not to squeeze any of the filling out of the sides. Cut the rolled noodle in half crosswise. Repeat with the rest of the noodles and filling.
  • Place the rolls wavy side up in a greased 9-inch (23-cm) springform pan. Sprinkle with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, until the cheese starts to brown.
  • Release the pan and garnish the rolls with parsley. Serve immediately, with warm alfredo sauce alongside for dipping.
  • Enjoy!

CHICKEN LASAGNA ALFREDO ROLLS

You can substitute meat sauce for the Alfredo and stuff with spinach and ricotta cheese if desired.

Categories     Pasta

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 6

9 lasagna noodles
2 1/2 c alfredo sauce
2 c cooked, shredded chicken
oregano
garlic salt
3 c mozzarella cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • 1. Spray an 8x8 pan with non-stick spray and pour ½ cup alfredo sauce, or just enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Boil 8-10 cups water in a large pan, cook lasagna noodles until al dente. (I usually cook 1 or 2 extra just because lasagna noodles always seem to break on me when I am stirring them.) Now this is the important part! Drain and rinse the noodles with cold water to prevent them from sticking to each other. Then, lay out each noodle individually and blot dry with a paper towel.
  • 2. Spread about 2 Tbs. Alfredo sauce over each noodle. (if there is too much sauce you will have a big mess on your hands!) Sprinkle oregano and garlic salt on top of sauce. Take 1/9 of the shredded chicken and spread it out evenly over each noodle. Add approx. 3 Tbs. cheese. To roll up, start at one end and roll the noodle over the toppings. You will need to lift the noodle a little to prevent squishing out the inside ingredients while rolling.
  • 3. Place the roll-ups in the pan, one by one, seam-side down so they don't come undone. Once they are all in the pan, pour the remaining alfredo sauce over the top. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted on top. I sometimes broil mine the last 5 minutes to make the cheese toasty on top.

It is a fusion of creamy Alfredo sauce and savory chicken that is rolled inside lasagna sheets, making it a perfect comfort food. In this article, you will learn some valuable tips to make delicious Alfredo chicken lasagna rolls.

Tips to Make Alfredo Chicken Lasagna Rolls Recipes

1. Preparing the Chicken
The first step to making Alfredo chicken lasagna roll recipes is to prepare the chicken. You can use any type of chicken, including breast, thighs, or a mixture of both. Ensure that your chicken is cooked before adding it to the lasagna sheets. To add flavor to the chicken, you can season it with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, or black pepper. You can bake, grill, or sauté the chicken, depending on your taste preferences.
2. The Alfredo Sauce
The Alfredo sauce is the heart of this recipe. It is a combination of butter, heavy cream, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, garlic, salt, and black pepper. You can make your Alfredo sauce from scratch or use a pre-made one. If you want to make your own, heat butter and garlic in a saucepan, add the cream, then stir in grated cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens. You can add milk or chicken broth to thin the sauce.
3. The Lasagna Sheets
Lasagna sheets are delicate and can be intimidating to work with. To ensure that your lasagna rolls hold together, you should select high-quality lasagna sheets. You can either use fresh pasta, pre-cooked pasta or uncooked dried pasta. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet. Make sure that you do not overcook the pasta as it can become too soft and difficult to handle. Drain the pasta and lay it flat on a baking sheet or parchment paper to cool off.
4. The Filling
The filling is the most important part of Alfredo chicken lasagna roll recipes. You can use any filling that appeals to your taste buds. Some of the best fillings include spinach, mushrooms, ricotta cheese, and Mozzarella cheese. You can also add herbs such as parsley, oregano, or basil to enhance the flavor. Make sure that the filling is evenly spread out over the pasta sheets. This will ensure that each lasagna roll has an equal amount of filling. It also helps the lasagna hold together when rolled up.
5. Rolling the Lasagna Sheets
Rolling lasagna sheets can be tricky, but it is easy once you understand the process. To roll up the sheets, lay each sheet of pasta flat on a clean surface. Add the filling along the length of the pasta sheet, leaving a little space at both ends. Begin rolling the pasta sheet from one end to the other. Once you reach the end, press the edges of the lasagna sheet to seal the roll. Repeat the process until all the lasagna sheets are rolled.
6. The Baking Process
After you have finished rolling up the lasagna sheets, place them in a baking dish. Cover with your Alfredo sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese melts and the sauce is bubbly. Allow the lasagna rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving.
7. Recipe Variations
While Alfredo chicken lasagna rolls are delicious on their own, you can personalize the recipe to suit your preferences. For example, you can add vegetables such as zucchini, bell peppers, or carrots to the filling. You can also use ground turkey, beef, or pork instead of chicken. You can also add a layer of tomato sauce to the Alfredo sauce to enhance the flavor.

Conclusion

Alfredo chicken lasagna rolls are a delicious and comforting meal that is easy to make once you understand the process. The tips mentioned in this article can help you make a delicious version of the recipe. Remember to use high-quality ingredients, spread out the filling evenly, and roll up the lasagna sheets carefully. With a little practice, you will perfect this recipe and serve it as a staple dish in your home.
