With the help of an air fryer, you can have your meatballs ready in no time. In this article, we provide valuable tips on how to make air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs recipes.

Choosing the right sausages

The sausages you choose will greatly affect the taste and texture of your meatballs. When selecting sausages for your air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs, it is important to ensure that they are fresh and of high quality. You may consider making your own sausages if you have the time and the necessary ingredients. Opt for sausages that are not too lean, as they will produce meatballs with better flavor and texture.

Adding herbs and spices

Herbs and spices can greatly enhance the flavor of air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs. Rosemary is a great herb to add to meatballs as it has a strong, distinctive flavor that complements the sausage meat. Other herbs such as parsley, basil and thyme can also be added to the meatballs for added flavor. Spices such as garlic powder and paprika can add depth to the flavor of your meatballs.

Mixing ingredients

When mixing the ingredients for your air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs, it is important to avoid over-mixing as this can make the meatballs tough and dense. Mix the ingredients gently and only until just combined. Do not add too much bread crumbs as this will result in dry and crumbly meatballs.

Forming the meatballs

When forming the meatballs, it is important to keep them relatively small, around the size of golf balls. This will ensure that they cook evenly in the air fryer. Wet your hands before shaping the meatballs to prevent the meat from sticking to your hands. Place the meatballs on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Preheating the air fryer

Preheating the air fryer is crucial to ensure that your air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs cook evenly and come out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for at least 10 minutes before adding the meatballs. This will ensure that the air fryer is hot enough to cook the meatballs properly.

Avoid overcrowding

Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket as this can prevent air circulation and result in unevenly cooked meatballs. You may need to cook the meatballs in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Leave some space between the meatballs to allow air to circulate around them.

Spray or brush with oil

Spray or brush the meatballs with a little bit of oil before air frying them to ensure that they come out crispy on the outside. You can use any type of oil such as olive oil, vegetable oil or canola oil. Brushing the meatballs with oil will also help to keep them from sticking to the air fryer basket.

Turn the meatballs halfway through cooking

To ensure that your air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs cook evenly, turn them over halfway through cooking. This will ensure that both sides of the meatballs are evenly cooked and crispy. Use tongs or a spatula to turn the meatballs.

Check for doneness

It is important to check your air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs for doneness to ensure that they are cooked through. Insert a meat thermometer into the center of one of the meatballs and check that it reads at least 165°F. If the meatballs are not cooked through, you can return them to the air fryer for a few more minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

Once your air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs are cooked through, serve them hot and enjoy! You can serve them with some tomato sauce or as a side dish with pasta, rice or vegetables. They can also be a great addition to a sandwich or a salad.
Conclusion
Air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs are a delicious and healthy dish that can be enjoyed by the whole family. With the help of these valuable tips, you can make perfect air fryer rosemary sausage meatballs every time. Remember to choose the right sausages, add herbs and spices, mix the ingredients gently, preheat the air fryer, avoid overcrowding, spray or brush with oil, turn the meatballs halfway through cooking, check for doneness and serve and enjoy!
