Time 32m

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cans Pillsbury Country biscuits ((10 pieces in can) or 1 can of Grands)
1 cup apple pie filling (roughly chopped)
½ cup butter (melted)
¾ cup sugar (granulated)
2 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Prep the dough: Separate the biscuits form the can and roll each one into a 4 inch circle using a rolling pin. If using grand biscuits, pull each one into 2 layers.
  • Prep the bombs: Spoon 1 tbsp of apple pie filling into each dough circle then pull the sides together over the filling, pinching to seal. Gently roll into a ball. Place the apple pie bombs into the basket of your air fryer about 1 inch apart. You'll need to do this in batches.
  • Bake 'em: Close your air fryer oven door and set the temperature to 380°F. Bake until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes.
  • Prep the topping: While the first batch bakes, combine the sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  • Continue baking: Carefully transfer the cooked apple pie bombs to a cooling rack and repeat baking with remaining pies.
  • Roll through butter and cinnamon sugar: While the pies are still hot, dip them in the melted butter so that they're fully coated, then roll them into the cinnamon sugar. Place them back on the cooling rack and repeat with remaining bombs.
  • Serve: Serve them by themselves or with a scoop of ice cream.

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup apple pie filling
1 can Grand's (or Flaky Layers) Biscuit Dough
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Cooking Spray or Parchment Paper

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar and ground cinnamon, set aside. Remove the biscuit dough from the can and separate it into 15 to 16 layers. With the help of a rolling pin, roll them out, so you have even circles about 5 inches each. Spoon 1 tablespoon of pie filling into the middle.
  • Use your hands to pinch the biscuit closed in a ball shape.
  • Roll over the table to finish shaping the ball. Repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
  • Either use parchment paper or spray your basket with cooking spray. Set the dough into the air fryer, and spray generously with cooking spray. Air fry at 350 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Dip each ball into the melted butter, and then roll into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!
