Crispy Pita Wedges image

10 (6-inch) pita rounds
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 salt (optional)
Seasonings: dried herbs, spice powders, or flavored salt blends
1 Toppings: sesame, caraway, poppy seeds, grated Parmesan or Romano, or bacon bits

Steps:

  • Split pita breads horizontally. Cut each round into 6 wedges. Brush wedges with melted butter on both sides and sprinkle with salt, if desired. Sprinkle wedges with desired seasonings and toppings. Bake on cookie sheet in 400° oven for 10-12 minutes, until golden. Chips will become crispier as they cool.
