Mozzarella cheese bites are a popular snack that is enjoyed by people of all ages. They are crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. Air frying is a healthier way of cooking these delicious bites than deep-frying as they require less oil. In this article, we will provide you with valuable tips on how to make air fried mozzarella cheese bites with spicy marinara sauce recipes that are sure to impress your taste buds.

Choosing the right cheese

The quality of the cheese you use for your mozzarella cheese bites will greatly affect their taste and texture. It is recommended that you use fresh mozzarella cheese as it has a softer texture and is perfect for melting. Avoid using pre-shredded cheese as it does not melt well and may result in the cheese oozing out of the bites.

Breading the cheese bites

To ensure a crispy crust, it is recommended that you coat the cheese bites in breadcrumbs or panko breadcrumbs. You can also add some parmesan cheese to the breadcrumbs for added flavor. Dip the cheese bites in a beaten egg before rolling them in the breadcrumb mixture to help the coating stick better.

Freezing the cheese bites

Before air frying the mozzarella cheese bites, it is recommended that you freeze them for at least 30 minutes. This will help the cheese hold its shape and prevent it from melting too quickly in the air fryer. You can also freeze the cheese bites for up to 2 months, making them a convenient snack to have on hand.

Preheating the air fryer

To ensure that your mozzarella cheese bites are evenly cooked and crispy on the outside, it is essential that you preheat your air fryer. Set your air fryer to 400°F and let it preheat for 2-3 minutes before cooking the cheese bites.

Not overcrowding the air fryer basket

It is important not to overcrowd the air fryer basket when cooking the cheese bites. This will ensure that each bite cooks evenly and becomes crispy. Leave some space between the cheese bites in the basket.

Checking the cheese bites regularly

It is essential to check the cheese bites regularly when cooking them in the air fryer. Cheese can melt quickly, and if left unattended, it may cause the bites to burst open and the cheese to ooze out. Check the bites after 5 minutes of cooking and shake the basket a little to prevent them from sticking to the bottom.

Making the spicy marinara sauce

Mozzarella cheese bites are often served with marinara sauce. To spice up your sauce, add some chili flakes, cayenne pepper, or hot sauce. You can also add some herbs such as basil or oregano for added flavor.

Serving suggestions

Mozzarella cheese bites with spicy marinara sauce are a delicious snack that can be served in a variety of ways. They can be served on their own as an appetizer, or you can serve them with a side salad or some garlic bread. You can also serve them as part of a cheese platter at your next party.

Cleaning the air fryer

After cooking your mozzarella cheese bites, it is essential to clean your air fryer properly. Allow the basket to cool down before washing it with warm soapy water. Use a non-abrasive sponge or cloth to avoid scratching the non-stick surface.
Conclusion
Air fried mozzarella cheese bites with spicy marinara sauce recipes are a delicious snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. By following the valuable tips provided in this article, you can make these bites with ease and impress your taste buds. Remember to choose fresh mozzarella cheese, coat the bites in breadcrumbs, freeze them before cooking, preheat your air fryer, check them regularly, and serve them with spicy marinara sauce.
