SEVEN-FRUIT SALAD

Seven-Fruit Salad image

This refreshing fruit medley, lightly coated with cherry pie filling, makes a great potluck or picnic dish. "You can substitute other fruits, such as red grapes or bananas, and use strawberry pie filling instead of cherry," notes Martha Cutler of Willard, Missouri, who adapted her grandmother's recipe.

7-UP SALAD

7-Up Salad image

Provided by Laura

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 lg. pkg lemon Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
3 cups 7-up
Sliced bananas (I used 2 but 3 would have been better)
1 ½ cup miniature marshmallows
1 Lg. can crushed pineapple (drained)-save the juice
1 cup pineapple juice you saved (add water to make 1 cup)
1 egg (well beaten)
½ cup sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 cup whipping cream, whipped

Steps:

  • Dissolve in Jello in the boiling water.
  • Add the 7-Up to the Jello and let set until slightly thickened in fridge. (I think I waited 20-30 minutes)
  • Fold the bananas, marshmallows, and pineapple into the thickened Jello and pour into a 9 x 13 pan. Place in the fridge and let the Jello set completely while you prepare the topping.
  • In a sauce pan, combine the reserved pineapple juice, egg, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook until thick. Allow mixture to cool.
  • Fold whipping cream into the cooled juice mixture and spread on top of set Jell-0.

PERFECT SUMMER FRUIT SALAD

Perfect Summer Fruit Salad image

The perfect fruit salad for a backyard bbq or any occasion. There are never leftovers! This is one of my favorite fruit salad recipes, as I think the sauce really makes it. This salad is tastier the longer you can let it soak in its juices. I prefer 3 to 4 hours in the refrigerator before I serve it. Enjoy.

7-CUP FRUIT SALAD

This is a recipe I have been making for years. My ex-mother-in-law gave it to me. It is easy to make and very good. A lot of time I leave out the fruit cocktail and add more of the other fruit and it is just as good.
