Easy and fast, these Cheddar cheese fries are served with bacon and dipped in ranch dressing.

3 slices bacon
1 (28 ounce) package frozen French fries
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Ranch dressing

Steps:

  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels; crumble.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Place a piece of aluminum foil over a baking sheet; spread fries in a single layer on baking sheet.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and crisp, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Preheat broiler.
  • Sprinkle fries with cheese and crumbled bacon.
  • Broil until cheese is melted, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve with Ranch dressing.

16 oz french-fried potatoes (recommended: ore-ida golden crinkles)
1 lb ground beef
12 oz bottle chili sauce (recommended: heinz)
1 pkg chili seasoning (recommended: lawry's)
1/2 c water
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
1/2 tsp onion powder
shredded cheddar, (recommended: kraft)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • 2. Lay fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, turning halfway through cooking, until crisp and golden.
  • 3. In a large pot over medium heat, break up ground beef and brown, stirring constantly to break up all the clumps to fine ground.
  • 4. Add remaining ingredients through the onion powder. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve hot fries on a plate smothered with chili and topped with shredded cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F. Arrange fries in single layer on cookie sheet. Bake 17 to 23 minutes or until desired crispness.
  • Meanwhile, in medium bowl, mix remaining ingredients except ranch dressing. Add baked fries; toss to coat. Serve with dressing.
