1 cup whole wheat or 1 cup oat flour
1 cup vanilla protein powder (whey)
1 tablespoon sugar substitute
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup skim milk
2 egg whites
2 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

  • heat griddle to about 360f degrees
  • add all dry ingredients to large bowl and mix well.
  • in seperate bowl, mix egg, oil, and milk well.
  • add wet and dry ingredients and mix well.
  • cook on each side for about 4 minutes or until golden brown.
  • makes about 4 to 5 4" pancakes.

If you're looking to watch your waistline but still enjoy a delicious breakfast, these are a great alternative to regular pancakes.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup(s) whole wheat flour
1 cup(s) whey protein powder, vanilla
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) baking soda
2 tablespoon(s) butter
1 tablespoon(s) honey
2 large banana
1 cup(s) almond milk, unsweetened
2 large eggs

Steps:

  • Add all dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix well.
  • Mash both bananas with a fork until chunky. Melt butter in small skillet until foaming stops. Add mashed banana and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until soft.
  • In a small bowl, mix eggs, honey, and almond milk until well combined.
  • Fold in banana/butter mixture to the dry ingredients.
  • Slowly add liquid ingredients to the dry and mix until just combined but not too much. Let batter rest for 10 minutes. Heat your griddle to 370 degrees or a little less.
  • Spoon about 1/3 cup of batter onto hot griddle and cook until done on one side. Turn and cook until done on the second side. Don't overcook.
