WHITE STRAWBERRY-KIWI SANGRIA



White Strawberry-Kiwi Sangria image

Packed with lush strawberries and tart kiwi, this refreshing (and potent!) sangria is the perfect sipper for warm summer days.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pound strawberries (about 3 cups, hulled and cut in half)
4 kiwi fruits (about 1 pound, peeled, halved, and sliced)
1 medium lime (sliced)
1 750 ml bottle white wine (I recommend a drier selection like Sauvignon Blanc)
1/2 cup light rum
1/4 cup honey (optional)
Lemon-lime soda

Steps:

  • To a large pitcher, add the kiwis, strawberries, lime, wine, and rum. Drizzle in the honey if using. Seal or cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, up to 12.
  • Remove from refrigerator and stir gently with a long-handled wooden spoon.
  • To serve, fill a glass 2/3 full with sangria and a few pieces of fruit. Top with lemon-lime soda. Serve.

1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 (750 ml) bottle white wine
1 cup orange liqueur, see Cook's Note*
1/2 cup lemon juice
4 kiwis, peeled and cut in thin slices (save a few slices for garnish)
2 green apples with skin, cored and cut in 1/2-inch cubes
1 1/2 cups green seedless grapes
1 bottle soda water (1 liter)
Ice cubes

Steps:

  • A small saucepan, heat the water, add the sugar and stir to dissolve to make a simple syrup.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, the Triple Sec the lemon juice, the kiwis, the apples and the grapes. Add the simple syrup, the soda water and the ice. Stir and serve in sangria glasses decorated with a kiwi slice.
  • *Cook's Note: We suggest using Cointreau as your orange liqueur for the best tasting White Kiwi Sangria.

1 (750 milliliter) bottle Chardonnay wine
1 liter club soda
3 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur (such as Cointreau®)
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 cup seedless green grapes
2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
1 large pear, thinly sliced
ice cubes
8 sprigs mint

Steps:

  • Mix Chardonnay wine, club soda, orange-flavored liqueur, sugar, grapes, kiwis, and pear in a large pitcher. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour wine mixture into wine glasses filled with ice, making sure each glass has some fruit. Garnish with mint sprigs.
