2 (3.5 ounce) packages plain microwave popcorn
17 ounces white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter

Steps:

  • Pop 1 popcorn package at a time in the microwave on high until popping begins to slow down, about 2 1/2 minutes. Open bags carefully and transfer popcorn to a large plastic bag, discarding any burnt pieces or unpopped kernels.
  • Melt white chocolate chips with butter in top of a double boiler over simmering water, stirring frequently and scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula, until mixture is creamy, about 5 minutes.
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn. Close bag and shake until thoroughly coated, 3 to 4 minutes. Place in the refrigerator to cool, about 1 hour.

5 cups Cheerios
5 cups Corn Chex
2 cups salted peanuts
1 pound chocolate M&M's
1 package (10 ounces) mini pretzels
2 packages (12 ounces each) white baking chips
3 tablespoons canola oil

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients; set aside. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chips and oil at 70% power for 1 minute, stirring once. Microwave on high for 5 seconds; stir until smooth. , Pour over cereal mixture and mix well. Spread onto three waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Cool; break apart. Store in an airtight container.

18 cups air-popped popcorn
1 can (15 ounces) mixed nuts
2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1-1/2 cups dark chocolate, milk chocolate and/or white baking chips
3 teaspoons shortening

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250°. Place popcorn and nuts in a greased roasting pan; set aside. In a large heavy saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir 5 minutes. , Remove from heat; stir in baking soda (mixture will foam). Quickly pour over popcorn and mix well., Transfer to two greased 15x10X1-in. baking pans. , Bake 1 hour or until dry, stirring every 15 minutes., In a microwave, melt each chocolate separately, adding 1 teaspoon shortening to each 1/2 cup chips; stir until smooth. 12 cups popped popcorn
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups sweetened dried cranberries
1 1/2 cups white vanilla baking chips

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 200°F. Divide popcorn between 2 ungreased 13x9-inch pans.
  • In 3-quart heavy saucepan, heat brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until bubbly around edges. Cook 5 minutes longer, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Stir in baking soda.
  • Pour caramel mixture over popcorn; stir until well coated. Add 1 cup cranberries and 3/4 cup baking chips to each pan; toss until well coated. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Store in airtight container.
