Number Of Ingredients 9

2 ounces tomato juice
2 ounces tomato clam juice
2 ounces vodka
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
2 to 3 dashes hot sauce
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Garnishes: Pickled cauliflower on a skewer, avocado slice on a skewer or a long strip of beef jerky

Steps:

  • Fill a highball glass one-third of the way with ice cubes. Add the tomato juice, tomato clam juice, vodka, lemon juice, horseradish, celery salt, hot sauce and Worcestershire. Stir to combine. Garnish as desired.

This is similar to Emerils, but a touch different. It will be the last bloody mary recipe you will ever want - I've tried several until I tweaked this one just right! Nothing like fresh.

3 cups tomato juice
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
3/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
1/3 cup pickle juice
1 ounce vodka, per drink

Steps:

  • In a blender combine the tomato juice, lemon juice, lime juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, pickle juice, and hot sauce and process until smooth. Transfer to a nonreactive container and add celery salt and black pepper, to taste. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, at least 2 hours and up to overnight.
  • When ready to serve, fill each glass with ice.
  • Add 1 ounce of vodka to each glass, then fill the glass with the bloody mary mix. Stir well, and garnish each glass with your favorite veggie, pickle, celery, pickled green bean, or a pickled okra.

Mezcal Bloody Maria image

Swap out the usual vodka for mezcal and throw some fresh ginger in with the horseradish for a smoky, spicy take on a Bloody Mary.

5 1/2 cups Clamato juice
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup mezcal
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Celery salt, for rim
Celery ribs, lemon wedges, and cilantro sprigs, for serving

Steps:

  • Stir together Clamato juice, lemon juice, mezcal, Worcestershire, horseradish, ginger, and salt in a pitcher. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes and up to 1 day. Coat damp glass rims with celery salt; fill each with ice. Pour drinks; serve each with a celery rib, a lemon wedge, and cilantro sprigs.
