MISS TINK'S HOUSE SEASONING

Miss Tink's House Seasoning image

For this you will need an old seasoning shaker with holes that are big enough for kosher salt to flow through--not too fast or slow. I used an old seasoning salt jar.

Yield 2-3 cups, 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

3/4-1 cup kosher salt
1/2 cup garlic powder
1/2 cup onion powder
1/4 cup ground black pepper

  • Mix all ingredients together and pour into a shaker and use on pork, beef, chicken, seafood anything you like. You may also, if desired, use paprika in it. I'd guess about 1/8 a cup would do.

ALL PURPOSE HOUSE SEASONING

All Purpose House Seasoning image

This is my very own all purpose seasoning blend that I use on a daily basis. Will store on the counter up to 2 months. Will keep in the freezer for up to 12 months. Use anyplace you would use regular salt and pepper. Feel free to experiment with your favorite dried herbs and spices. I also keep smaller batches (just split a recipe) on the counter with 1 strip of dried lemon and another with 1 strip of dried lime in it. Simply peel a strip of the zest and leave it on the counter overnight to dehydrate it. I have yet another with dried mint in it.

T'S HOUSE SEASONING

T'S HOUSE SEASONING image

This is my favorite seasoning for steaks, burgers, roasted chicken and pork roasts. It's especially good when worked into the ground beef for charcoal grilled burgers. Mmmmm Mmmmm good!

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 tsp dried sage, crushed/ground
1/2 tsp finely minced/ground dried rosemary
1/2 tsp dried thyme, crushed/ground
4 Tbsp salt (sea, kosher, himalayan or a combo)
1 Tbsp ground black pepper
1 Tbsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients and store in a small, lidded jar or air-tight container. Shake before using.
  • 2. Note: I use homegrown dried herbs, and use a mortar and pestle to individually grind each herb/spice, and then measure, or sometimes I'll use a spice grinder.
