Honey-Roasted Chex® Mix image

Mmm! Enjoy a honey of a crunchy snack mix that goes together in a snap.

3 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
2 cups Cheerios™ cereal
1 1/2 cups Bugles® original corn snacks
1/2 cup honey-roasted peanuts or 1 cup pretzels
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325°F. In very large bowl, mix cereals, snacks and peanuts.
  • In 1-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup, honey and butter to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Spread in ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan.
  • Bake 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes. Break into bite-size pieces. Store in airtight container.

Cleveland Touchdown Chex Mix® image

You don't need to be in C-Town to enjoy this snack made with Reese's™ peanut butter cups and Reese's™ Puffs™ cereal.

1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup mini peanut-butter sandwich cookies
1/4 cup chocolate sprinkles
1 bag (8.75 oz) Chex Mix® Honey Nut snack mix
1 cup Reese's peanut butter cups miniatures, unwrapped
1 cup red candy-coated peanut butter pieces
2 cups Reese's Puffs® cereal

Steps:

  • Place the chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High for 1 minute to 1 minute 20 seconds, just until the chocolate chips melt.
  • Stir the peanut butter sandwich cookies into the melted chocolate. Transfer to a small piece of parchment paper, sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles, let stand 1 hour or until hardened.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the snack mix, peanut butter cup candies, chocolate candies, and cereal. Stir in the chocolate-covered cookies before serving.

3 cups checkerboard-shaped pretzels
3 cups sesame sticks
1 cup mixed nuts
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons sesame seed, toasted*, if desired

Steps:

  • In large microwavable bowl, mix cereal, pretzels, sesame sticks and nuts.
  • In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter on High about 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in honey and sesame seed. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
  • Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until mixture just begins to brown. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

1 1/2 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
1 1/2 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
1 cup Wheat Chex™ cereal
1 cup mixed nuts
1 cup bite-size pretzels
1 cup garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips or regular bagel chips
3/4 cup salted butter
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary leaves, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325°F.
  • In large ovenproof bowl or pan, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips. Set aside.
  • In medium microwavable bowl, melt butter. Stir in honey, brown sugar, chipotle chili powder, rosemary and salt. Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture, tossing well 3 to 5 minutes or until cereal mixture is evenly coated.
  • Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread onto paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes (or just start eating!). Store in airtight container.

1 cup waffle pretzels

3 tablespoons Huy Fong Sriracha sauce
2 tablespoons honey
3 cups popped popcorn

Steps:

  • In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, peanuts and pretzels; set aside. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 20 seconds or until melted. Stir in Sriracha sauce and honey. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
  • Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on waxed paper to cool, about 15 minutes. Place in serving bowl; stir in popcorn. Store in airtight container.

3 c corn chex® cereal (i used 2c each wheat, corn and rice chex)
2 to 3 c cheerios cereal
1 1/2 c bugles corn snacks (i used a small 3 oz bag)
1/2 c honey roasted peanuts (i added 1/2 c. roughly broken pecans also)
2 Tbsp light corn syrup (do not use dark) (1/4 c)
2 Tbsp honey (1/4 c)
1 Tbsp butter (2 tbsp)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (i used 2 tsp of vanilla)
1 - 3oz bag cinnamon teddy grahams crackers (my addition)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
IF THERE IS AN INGREDIENT WITH AN AMOUNT LISTED BEHIND IT IN PARENTHESES( ), THAT IS MY VARIATION.

Steps:

  • 1. In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, snacks and peanuts; set aside. In 4 cup pyrex measuring cup or medium microwavable bowl, microwave corn syrup, honey and butter uncovered on High about 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth and beginning to thicken. Stir in vanilla. Drizzle about 1/3 of the coating over cereal mixture and stir ; repeat twice the drizzle and stir, and then stir well until evenly coated. If you have a two tined turning fork, this makes a good stirring tool as it does not crush the cereal as much as a spoon or spatula.
  • 2. Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil lined pans to cool. Store in airtight container
  • 3. Because I doubled the coating mixture, it took additional time to cook the coating, so I have changed the recipe directions to reflect the longer times. You will also notice that I added some extra cereal and crackers. And finally I took half of the mix,added some pecans to it and then sprinkled it with about a half tsp of cinnamon before the final cooking stage for a different taste. This mix is not too sweet. It has a very delicate sweetness.
