SHONEY'S STRAWBERRY PIE
This is a very old recipe. It is always delicious and very yummy. It is easy to prepare.

Steps:
- 1. Prebake pie shells
- 2. Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, 4 Tbsp. cornstarch, 1 1/2 boiling water. Cook until thick. Remove from heat.
- 3. Add pack of strawberry jello. Mix good, & cool.
- 4. After it has cooled, add the sliced strawberries. Put into baked pie shells.
- 5. Refrigerate at least 2 hours, or until it has set up.
- 6. Serve with whipped topping, ( I spread a layer on to of the pie.)

My family loves Shoney's Strawberry Pie when we used to go to Shoney's and we ordered some strawberry pies. I found this recipe and my kids wanted me to make them strawberry pie. Yummy! It is so delicious and sweet.

Steps:
- 1. Mix strawberries, sugar, jello and cornstarch; add water and cook until mixture comes to a boil. After cooking, put in refrigertor to cool.
"TASTES-LIKE-SHONEY'S" STRAWBERRY PIE
Steps:
- Bake pie shells according to package directions. Place strawberry slices in bottom of pie shells.
- In medium saucepan, cook and stir sugar, water and cornstarch until thickened. Remove from heat, add Jell-O. Pour into baked pie shells.
- Chill for at least 1 1/2 hours. Top with whipped topping.

- Preheat oven to 450°. Unroll crust into a 9-in. pie plate. Trim edge. Line unpricked crust with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil or parchment. Bake 8 minutes. Remove foil; bake 5 minutes longer. Cool on a wire rack., In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch and water until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved. Refrigerate until slightly cooled, 15-20 minutes., Meanwhile, arrange strawberries in the crust. Pour gelatin mixture over berries. Refrigerate until set. If desired, serve with whipped cream.
