1 (8 ounce) package wide egg noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (11 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (4 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon chili powder, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the noodles, and cook until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain, and return to the pot.
  • Crumble the ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir until evenly browned. Drain off grease. Stir in the tomato sauce, corn and olives. Season with chili powder. Stir the beef mixture in with the noodles. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until the cheese is melted.

A quick easy beef and noodle casserole to whip up in a jiffy. An old family favorite. The orginal recipe in my family called for velveta cheese, but I prefer cheddar. Makes great leftovers too!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (8 ounce) package wide egg noodles
1 lb ground beef (can subsitute ground turkey)
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (11 ounce) can creamed corn
1 (4 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • In large pot, cook noodles as directed on package. Drain, rinse and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, cook ground beef and onion in large skillet until meat is no longer pink and onions are tender.
  • Add the garlic and simmer another 3 - 5 minutes. Drain off fat.
  • To meat mixture, add tomato sauce, creamed corn and olives.
  • Stir cooked noodles into meat mixture.
  • Pour into 9 x 13 inch baking dish and top with cheese.
  • Bake at 375 for 20 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

This is an old Campbell Soup recipe, that has been passed down in the family. Try it you'll love it!

1 lb hamburger meat
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s) cream of celery soup
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1 can(s) enchilada sauce (soup can size)
1 can(s) ortega green chilis(diced)
1 medium onion
1 can(s) black olives(diced)
1 bag(s) large egg noodles
1 fl milk(soup can size)
salt and pepper
1 lb sharp cheddar cheese grated

Steps:

  • 1. Brown hamburger meat in a large skillet with salt and pepper and diced onion until done. Then add the soups,green chilis,enchilada sauce,milk and olives. Blend well,simmer on low heat. At the same time your cooking meat sauce you are boiling the noodles in a large pot.
  • 2. pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  • 3. When noodles are done,drain the water and pour noodles in a large oven safe casserol pan or dish. Then pour the meat sauce over the noodles and mix well. Top with the shreded cheese. Place in heated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until done. Do not brown the cheese. Serve with a salad or a vegetable. Enjoy!
