SWEET CHEX CRUNCH
I love just about every variety of Chex Mix, but this sweet version is my favorite. The recipe came to me from Ohio, via my sister, Jenny. I made it & took it to school where it was an instant hit. It's still making the rounds. =^..^=

Steps:
- 1. Set out two silicone baking sheets (or cover metal cookie sheets with waxed paper).
- 2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, mix together the Rice Chex, pretzels, and nuts. Set aside.
- 3. In a smaller microwave-safe bowl (I use my 4 cup glass measuring cup), put in the butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Microwave for 1 minute, then quickly stir. Microwave for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes more. Remove from microwave.
- 4. Stir in vanilla extract and baking soda, mixing well.
- 5. Pour over the Rice Chex mixture. Toss well & place bowl into the microwave. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring twice.
- 6. Quickly spread on prepared baking sheets & let cool. Break larger pieces. Store in an airtight container.
- 7. Place chex mix in decorative tins for a quick & delicious holiday gift.
- 8. NOTE: I've found that the longer microwave times work best for me or the chex mix is sticky. But please experiment with the cooking times since your microwave is different than mine. If the mixture is darkening, take it out. =^..^=

- Preheat oven to 275°. In a very large bowl, combine cereals and pretzels. In another bowl, mix the remaining ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat. , Transfer to a large roasting pan. Bake, uncovered, 1-1/4 hours or until cereal is crisp, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
