Convenience items, including bottled barbecue sauce and canned pineapple and cranberry sauce, speed preparation of this sweet and tangy main dish. It's a snap to throw together, yet tastes like it took a lot of work. My family loves its Hawaiian flavor. -Nancy Decker, Lemoore Navel Air Station, California

TANGY SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS RECIPE - (4.6/5)

Steps:
- Put frozen meatballs in a crock pot and get them started on high. Combine jelly and chili sauce in a sauce pan on low heat and warm until grape jelly is dissolved. Stir occasionally. Add the sauce once the grape jelly is dissolved (doing this will save you an hour cooking time) to the meatballs or cocktail sausages and set temperature to low. Cook for 2 - 4 hours on low. Gently toss occasionally with a soft sided large spoon. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes if you wish to eat as a meal or leave on warm in crock pot without the rice or potatoes for people to pluck out a couple to munch on. They will go back for more! Most people will eat four to six of these. This makes a bunch, can always cut the recipe in half for home meal. Dedicated to Lance, my chef and medic.
