SUPREME PIZZA BURGERS

- In a food processor, combine the vegetables, olives, pepperoni, tomato paste and seasonings; cover and pulse just until blended. Transfer to a large bowl; stir in bread crumbs. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties., On a greased grill rack, grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. , Serve on buns with cheese and pizza sauce. Add toppings if desired.

- Combine the ground beef, Italian sausage and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Knead the mixture together and form it into four large/thick patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the burgers on one side for several minutes, then turn the burgers. Lay 2 slices of provolone on each patty, followed by 4 slices of pepperoni. Add a couple of thin slices of red onion, a slice of green bell pepper and a pile of black olives. Spoon a little marinara sauce on top, then lay another slice of cheese on top of all the fillings.
- Place the lid on the skillet and allow the burgers to cook all the way through while the cheese melts and the pepperoni warms.
- Split the rolls and toast them in butter in a skillet until nice and golden and crisp. Spread both halves with more marinara sauce and sprinkle the sauce with Parmesan.
- Lay the patties on the bottom buns, then top with the top buns. Serve immediately; hearty appetites are recommended!

An adult, first-class version of the family favorite worthy to be served to guests for lunch or an informal dinner. Burgers can be fried, but are unbelievable grilled to perfection, giving them the flavor of a wood fired brick oven pizza. I could eat these every day!

- 1. Prepare your favorite pizza toppings.
- 2. Divide beef into 4 patties. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Place on grill to desired doneness. 3-5 minutes before being done, brown Texas Toast on grill. Top burgers with pizza sauce, then toppings and cover grill to melt cheese. Serve on grilled Texas Toast. Serve with remaining pizza sauce, if desired.
