Number Of Ingredients 13

½ cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
  • In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.
  • To Make Frosting: Combine 3 tablespoons softened butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 cup confectioners' sugar. Stir until smooth. Frost brownies while they are still warm.

This is another of my families favorite brownies. Very chocolatey and a superb fluffy melt - in - your - mouth topping.. Enjoy!! My pictures.

Number Of Ingredients 13

4 - 1 oz each, unsweetened bakers chocolate
3/4 c butter, no substitutes
2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c flour
1 c coarsley chopped walnuts
TOPPING
1 c semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 c water
2 Tbsp butter, no substitutes
1 c whipping cream, whipped
NOTE: THERE IS NO BAKING POWDER OF BAKING SODA USED IN THESE BROWNIES

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Prepare a 13 x 9 x 2 inch. baking pan with cooking spray. I used a glass baking dish.
  • 2. In a microwave or double boiler, ( I started melting the butter, then added the chocolate and held the pan above the flame, kept stirring till chocolate melted). melt the chocolate and butter; cool for 10 minutes.
  • 3. Add sugar; mix well. Stir in eggs and vanilla. ( I whisk the eggs first) then add.
  • 4. Add flour; mix well. Stir in the walnuts.
  • 5. Pour batter into pan. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes. (mine took 40 minutes), or until toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. ( do not over bake).
  • 6. Cool completely.
  • 7. For topping: Melt chocolate chips, water and butter in a microwave or double boiler; stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
  • 8. Fold in the whipped cream. Enjoy!
  • 9. Spread over cooled brownies. Chill before cutting.

3/4 cup mashed potatoes
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional
Confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, sugars, oil, eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to potato mixture. Fold in pecans if desired. Transfer to a greased 9-in. square baking pan., Bake at 350° for 23-27 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Cut into bars.

2 ½ sticks unsalted butter, plus more, softened, for greasing
8 oz good-quality semisweet chocolate, or bittersweet chocolate, 60-70% cacao, roughly chopped
¾ cup unsweetened dutch process cocoa powder, divided
1 tablespoon espresso powder
2 cups granulated sugar
½ cup dark brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons kosher salt
6 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Steps:

  • Grease a 9x13-inch (23x33-cm) dark metal pan with softened butter, then line with parchment paper, leaving overhang on all sides. Grease the parchment with softened butter.
  • Combine the chopped chocolate, ¼ cup (30 g) of cocoa powder, and espresso powder in a heatproof liquid measuring cup or medium bowl and set aside.
  • Add the butter to a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until the butter just comes to a vigorous simmer, about 5 minutes, swirling the pan occasionally. Immediately pour the hot butter over the chocolate mixture and let sit for 2 minutes. Whisk until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted, then set aside.
  • Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and eggs in a large bowl. Beat with an electric hand mixer on high speed until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes. It will be similar to the texture of very thick pancake batter.

1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon instant espresso powder, optional
Optional: chopped walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts or peanuts
DRIZZLE:
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon canola oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, oil, sugar, water and vanilla. Whisk together the flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and, if desired, espresso powder; stir into egg mixture until blended. , Spread into a greased or parchment paper-lined 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Top with chopped nuts if desired. Bake until very firm to the touch, 12-15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Break into pieces. In a microwave, melt chocolate chips and oil; stir until smooth.
